hello this is elizabeth and today we will be talking about social sciences five unit six 00:00:00
lesson three in my last video we did a whole overview of the lesson i told you about 00:00:07
what is the age of discovery what happened in the age of discovery and who was in the age of 00:00:15
discovery so right now i will be showing you how to do a quick review this is really good if you 00:00:21
want to take notes or just um a good practice to have for any lesson it is the five w questions 00:00:28
and those questions are who what where when and why and you can use these questions for any lesson 00:00:38
and it just helps you remember it it keeps it right here in your head so you can remember it 00:00:49
later and it's just an easy way to summarize the lesson so who who was in 00:00:55
the age of discovery right so we're talking about the conquistadors and 00:01:05
usually the answers to these questions are very simple right so who the 00:01:10
conquistadors and now we'll move on to what what are we talking about obviously 00:01:15
we're talking about the age of discovery. But what more than that? We're talking about 00:01:22
different explorers making voyages to distant lands, conquering new people, new lands, 00:01:28
and discovering America and new places that they had never been before. 00:01:36
All right, so where? So this happened all over the world. But if you're asking yourself where, 00:01:43
it can be more specific. Where did Christopher Columbus go? He went to America, for example. 00:01:51
All right, when? So when is another general question, or it can be more specific. So this 00:01:59
generally happened around the 1400s and 1500s. Now, why? Why were they doing this? What was the 00:02:08
point. The why is to conquer new lands and peoples. All right, so that is the who, what, 00:02:18
where, when, and why of what happened in the Age of Discovery. All right, I will see you next time. 00:02:28
Thank you so much for watching my video. Bye-bye! 00:02:38
