Hello, we are Alejandro, Yahe and Samuel and we are going to do a podcast about our experience in the Erasmus exchange in Budapest. 00:00:00
The first day in Spain was a little bit strange. 00:00:08
Firstly, the Hungarians arrived at the airport and the teachers took them to school, where we were waiting to meet them. 00:00:11
At first, we were so nervous, but then we met each other better and all went good. 00:00:18
After eating the churros, we went to our houses and we ate. 00:00:25
Then we went to La Gavia to see stores and after that we pick up some pizzas and we walk to a place to see the sunset. 00:00:29
The next day we planned to be at the center of Madrid. We met the teachers at school and we did a tour around Madrid. 00:00:39
We saw the Plaza Mayor where we met a fat Spiderman and we also saw some big buildings such as the Royal Palace and the Puerta del Sol. 00:00:46
After that we continued in the center for all day long until going to sleep at night. 00:00:55
On the third day we visited Aranjuez where we fed some ducks with bread and where we saw a palace with gardens that was built by Isabel II. 00:01:01
We were nearly all day there so we hadn't more time. 00:01:11
We went back to the city center the fourth day. 00:01:15
This day we visited the botanic garden where we saw a lot of plants. 00:01:18
Then, we also visited the Retiro Park, where we had free time and we enjoyed a lot in general. 00:01:22
In the evening, we went to a mall called Oasis which was opened a few months ago. 00:01:28
There we went bowling and we had a really really good time. 00:01:34
The fifth day was used to visit Alcalá de Henares, a very beautiful small city in Madrid. 00:01:37
Here the guide called David told us a lot of the history of the town and we visited 00:01:44
the Don Quixote's house. 00:01:49
On Saturday, we woke up in Jahe's house after a silly bubble. 00:01:53
We went to the center of Madrid, where we watched a Science Factory Day celebration. 00:01:58
We also ate typical Spanish food in a restaurant. 00:02:05
At noon, we went to Ines' house and played a bunch of games and did several activities 00:02:09
in group. 00:02:15
On Sunday, we had to sadly say goodbye to our Hungarian mates. 00:02:17
morning was mainly dedicated to prepare our partner's luggage. At around 6 p.m. we 00:02:22
arrived to the airport and we had to say goodbye to them. It was kind of sad 00:02:30
because we didn't want it to end and we were enjoying it really much. However we were 00:02:35
going to Hungary just in three weeks so this sadness was a short relief and by 00:02:41
thinking about the good experiences we were about to pass through made us 00:02:47
really happy. The 7th of April the Spanish group participating on this 00:02:52
activity were ready to take off to Budapest. At around 1130 our flight took 00:02:56
off and we were really excited about what we were going to experience. As soon 00:03:02
as we arrived our Hungarian mates were already in the airport to take us home. 00:03:07
That afternoon we went to a karaoke where we spent a really good time and 00:03:11
after singing for a while we had a walk around the city center and we went 00:03:16
shopping then we went back to back home in order to sleep and wake up with enough strength for the 00:03:21
next day on monday we woke up very early in order to arrive soon to the hungarian parliament 00:03:29
where we had a gated tour translated to spanish we visited all chambers and rooms of the parliament 00:03:36
it was as beautiful as from the outside. After visiting, we made a kind of 00:03:44
ginkana in which we had to visit some of the most characteristic places of the 00:03:51
nearby regions. After that, we went back home to have lunch and then we went to 00:03:57
Anna's house in order to be together and have a really good time. Overall, it was a 00:04:04
a really nice and easy game. On Tuesday, we took a train that would take us to Visegrad, 00:04:10
which was a nearby region. Here, we were going to walk to visit a castle located on top of 00:04:19
a mountain. Firstly, we took a boat to take us to the other side of the lake, where the 00:04:26
the mountain was. It was really tiring, as it has a lot of inclinations, and we arrived 00:04:33
really exhausted to the castle. After visiting the castle for around one hour and a half, 00:04:40
we went to have a ride on a boat, which was a fun attraction. Unfortunately, our friend 00:04:47
Samuel had an accident and the teachers needed to take him to the hospital. After the activity 00:04:54
On Wednesday, we went to sleep to Bessel's house. Bessel was a Hungarian farmer. We really enjoyed it, and we slept few hours, but it was worth it. 00:05:01
On Wednesday, we went to the Model Castle, in the heart of the city. After the amazing views of the city, we cried at typical food from Budapest called Langos, which was like a fried dough. 00:05:11
After that, we lived an amazing experience selling a steam room together. 00:05:25
And after all of this, we hung out together and did some chill activities at home. 00:05:31
On Thursday, we visited the Magai Thailand, located in the middle of the Danube, 00:05:38
where we rented some kind of vehicles that were similar to bikes. 00:05:43
After this, we ate a picnic in a nearby park. 00:05:47
After eating, we went to visit the Fenerbahçe Stadium. 00:05:50
This stadium is the stadium of the best football team of Hungary. 00:05:55
For this day, we walked a boat trip along the Danube at around 7 pm. 00:05:59
It was really nice and the best part about it was seeing the sunset from the boat. 00:06:05
To end the day, we went to the famous wheel at night, where we observed Budapest at night. 00:06:10
On Friday, we went to Mr. Sebek's Spa, where we enjoyed the pools, the different types of sauna, and the cold bath. 00:06:16
We then went to eat something at a coffee shop, and most of us had cake. 00:06:26
Consequently, we went to their high school, where we played football, volley, ping pong, and after that, celebrated all together eating a pizza. 00:06:33
They also gave us a chair to have as a memory with their high school's name. 00:06:45
And at night, we celebrated at Silvia's house, which was Samuel's teammate, 00:06:51
like an anticipated birthday. We danced and had a bunch of delicious food. 00:06:58
Overall, this has been a one-of-a-kind experience where we have learned a lot about the new culture, 00:07:06
I enjoyed about their amazing sites and history and created amazing memories. 00:07:13
Thanks for everything. This was all our podcast. 00:07:18
