Good evening faculty, teachers, parents, friends. Isn't it funny how day by day 00:00:11
nothing seems to change, but when you look back everything is different. It 00:00:20
feels almost impossible for me to stand here in front of all of you and say 00:00:26
we're done, but it's true. All of us made it through the roughest years of school. 00:00:31
Honestly, there's nothing as important as believing in yourself and having the 00:00:37
courage to say you can do it. Because nothing comes easy in life, but what 00:00:42
would life be without challenges? People need to start dreaming big and stop 00:00:48
blaming themselves for every single mistake they make. Because success isn't 00:00:54
found, you have to go and get it. We're all here now, safe and sound, wearing our 00:01:00
most beautiful clothes on our day. This might sound crazy but now that we're 00:01:06
done it actually feels hard for me to leave school, to leave all these amazing 00:01:11
experiences behind and people who I can now call family. It's not just hard for me to 00:01:16
leave my friends behind but also our teachers who have not just only taught 00:01:23
of math or science but who have also helped us grow up and become who we 00:01:29
really want to be in life. We always thought some of our teachers were really 00:01:35
hard on us, but then I remember the famous quote from Bill Gates, if you 00:01:40
think your teacher is tough, wait until you get a boss. It seems as if it were 00:01:46
just yesterday when we couldn't sleep the night before our first day in high 00:01:52
school because we were too nervous to start, but time flies and without even 00:01:56
thinking a moment about it we became the oldest ones at school entering this hell 00:02:02
that everyone talked about called Battillerato. Now it's time that we'll 00:02:07
start a different world, a different adventure at university or at work, a 00:02:13
place where we will do what we actually enjoy but also a place that won't be for 00:02:18
sure as special as this high school. A place where we won't go on trips to 00:02:24
Oaxaca, Pembroke, Poland, etc., and where our teachers won't cook for us, or a place 00:02:30
where people will look at me as if I were going crazy when I talk about the 24 hours. 00:02:36
Galileo is not just a place where people come and study, but it's also a place that teaches 00:02:43
us values such as trust, modesty, effort, teamwork, and affection. 00:02:49
And what better way to end this speech than thanking everyone that has supported us through 00:02:56
this journey. 00:03:03
From our friends, boyfriends, girlfriends, to our families, our parents that are always 00:03:04
there to cheer us on, our grandmas that are always interested in our studies, or even 00:03:11
our brothers or sisters who are always willing to bother us on our exam week. 00:03:17
I wish you all the best in this journey to reach your dreams and your most ambitious 00:03:22
goals. 00:03:27
And I hope you enjoy this day, because I'm quite sure you will never leave something 00:03:28
as special in your life again. 00:03:32
It's time to start leaving, to spread your wings and fly. 00:03:35
Thank you. 00:03:39
Okay. 00:03:40
So, families, teachers, classmates, and friends, thanks for being with us today, because today 00:03:45
is our day. 00:03:54
the day we have been waiting for years has arrived. Today is a big day. It is a day of 00:03:56
joy. Today is a day to celebrate all the effort we have made during these years, especially 00:04:03
this last one. I still remember my first day at Galileo Galilei High School. It was September 00:04:10
of 2010 and we were all sitting at the gym, waiting to know who our new teachers and our 00:04:17
new classmates could be over time we made new friends some of them are still 00:04:23
beside us but unfortunately some others are no longer in our lives we have gone 00:04:29
through new classmates new teachers new subjects and maybe one of the most 00:04:35
difficult decisions we have ever had to take to study science humanities or 00:04:40
social science after it all here we are together again like the first day of 00:04:45
high school, but today we are together to celebrate the end of this incredible 00:04:51
period of our lives. I wonder how many times we have thought about giving up or 00:04:56
how many times we have thought that we couldn't cope with all the exams. 00:05:02
Reaching our goals seems to be impossible, but thanks to teachers, parents and 00:05:05
classmates we have achieved them. I would like to express my gratitude to the 00:05:10
teacher. For the thousands of times they have repeated the page in which we were 00:05:16
and for every photocopy they have come out twice because we lost the first one. 00:05:20
I would also like to thank our parents for having lunch ready 00:05:24
when we arrived home from an exam after seven period for every come on study or 00:05:30
for every good luck on your exam. And thank you mates for all the pictures of 00:05:35
notes and maths exercise we have shared through WhatsApp. Thanks for all the 00:05:39
and comfortable labs and those physical education classes 00:05:44
in the sun. 00:05:47
Over time, when space and time separate us, 00:05:49
we'll miss and we'll remember this period of our lives. 00:05:54
I will never forget all the incredible experience 00:05:57
I have lived inside and outside Galileo Galilei High School. 00:06:00
I won't forget that we almost missed the plane when 00:06:03
we came back from Paris. 00:06:06
I won't forget the 12 hours we spent in a bus from Krakow 00:06:08
to dance. 00:06:11
And I won't forget the exchange with Pembroke. 00:06:12
I'll always remember those speeches from Mamen, Modesto, 00:06:14
or even Ruben about life. 00:06:18
I won't forget the paninis at the break 00:06:20
to celebrate that we have finished exams. 00:06:22
I'll definitely always remember the good experience 00:06:25
at Galileo Galilei High School. 00:06:28
It seems that today, from now on, 00:06:32
we have to take responsibility for ourselves. 00:06:34
It is no longer allowed the teacher, 00:06:37
I didn't get what you had said, or the teacher. 00:06:39
Do we have to study that for the exam? 00:06:42
We have to be brave enough now that we split our paths. 00:06:44
Everyone will take advantage of the opportunities, 00:06:48
but never forget about the great moments 00:06:51
at Galileo Galilei High School. 00:06:54
Those experiences will be with us during all our lives, 00:06:56
and whether we like it or not, it is part of us. 00:06:59
To conclude, I ask you to forget about our plans 00:07:03
for the future during this night. 00:07:06
during this afternoon, tonight, tomorrow, 00:07:09
and all the time that this celebration lasts 00:07:12
in order to enjoy our last day as students 00:07:15
at Galileo Galilei High School. 00:07:18
Beside people that have helped us with academic stuff 00:07:20
and sometimes they have been part of our personal life. 00:07:24
Thanks for your attention and thank you for these years. 00:07:27
Life is like a box of chocolates. 00:07:36
You never know what you are going to get. 00:07:38
That's the quote which I would use to describe 00:07:41
these six years we have gone through. 00:07:43
It all started when we were about 12 years, 00:07:45
about 300 small scared kids who didn't really know 00:07:48
how many adventures were waiting for them. 00:07:51
But as everything in life, it all started. 00:07:54
I can remember the first day at high school, 00:07:57
everything new, everything different from what we had seen. 00:07:59
But at the same time, I had the feeling 00:08:03
that something good was going to happen, and I was right. 00:08:05
Well, now I want you to imagine this chocolate assortment. 00:08:09
You like some, but you don't like others, and you eat all the ones you like, 00:08:12
and the only ones left are the ones you don't like as much. 00:08:16
Forrest Gump said he had always thought of life like that. 00:08:20
And that's probably the most important thing I have learned at Galileo Galilei. 00:08:23
It doesn't matter what is in our way. 00:08:27
We are strong enough to go through it. 00:08:29
We are little and big soldiers at the same time. 00:08:32
And I know life will bring us challenges, 00:08:35
but I know too that when something painful comes up, 00:08:37
We will just have to polish it off and everything will be okay. 00:08:40
However, today is a sweet day, one of the sweetest we have lived. 00:08:44
Today we graduate and I have to say one thing, 00:08:48
I'm proud of myself and of all my classmates. We have worked like strong 00:08:52
soldiers and we have passed over all the things 00:08:56
that appear in our ways. But I'm sure about one thing, I wouldn't 00:08:58
have made it through these years without your help. 00:09:03
We have been like a big team who has helped each other in every step we took. 00:09:06
Because it is not related to studies, it's something more than that. 00:09:10
We have made up ourselves. 00:09:15
We have become better and better during these years, and we have made ties that will never 00:09:17
break. 00:09:21
Don't you remember? 00:09:22
We wrote from the beginning of the year how many days left until today. 00:09:23
We had both each other candies when some of the exams weren't going as we wanted. 00:09:27
We shouted when the last exam of the term was finished. 00:09:32
What great experiences. 00:09:35
But well, apart from us, on our team, there has been more people, 00:09:36
like our great card takers and teachers, who has encouraged us to keep fighting. 00:09:40
When we had to print long documents, 00:09:46
who doesn't remember the card takers dividing the number of pages to help us save money? 00:09:48
Or the teachers, when they stayed with us during their break, 00:09:53
to explain us something we didn't understand. 00:09:56
Thirdly, I must mention our families, who has the power to help us once we had fallen. 00:09:59
And today is a day to thank you for all of it, 00:10:04
for just being there every time we needed you. 00:10:07
So, dear friends, today it's time to say goodbye to an important time of our lives. 00:10:09
Who would say today is the day? 00:10:15
The day we have been waiting for 15 years. 00:10:17
The day when we have to close the door from the corridor which seemed like it would never end. 00:10:20
We are all dressed up in our best clothes. 00:10:25
Makeup, heels, ties. 00:10:28
We are celebrating the fact that we have succeeded. 00:10:31
but it's not an end. It's just another year that finishes. 00:10:33
Some of the moments we have lived will go with it 00:10:37
but I know that when we are in trouble we are just a phone call away. 00:10:41
I remember that when we were preparing for graduation 00:10:45
teachers said it was a special one and it is without any doubt. 00:10:51
I can say without any fear that I'm composed of all of you. 00:10:56
Some of you have shown me how to be brave, others 00:10:59
how to solve problems, others how to be sweet. 00:11:02
And all of you are a part of me. 00:11:06
So thank you mainly because without you, 00:11:09
I wouldn't be who I am today. 00:11:11
Let me finish by saying that after living through 00:11:13
this whole year, I can say I had fun with it. 00:11:15
Because even the afternoons in the library 00:11:19
were moments in which I knew we were a powerful team. 00:11:21
Thank you and congratulations. 00:11:24
well first of all good morning teachers students and classmates i have to say that when my teacher 00:11:25
marta told us that we had to prepare our graduation speeches i was really worried because i didn't know 00:11:40
what to say or even how to start but when i thought about it i believed that the that the 00:11:47
The best thing is to tell you about the years I have spent in this high school, since the first year of ESO, six years ago. 00:11:53
During the first year of ESO, I noticed a really important change as it was really different from primary school. 00:12:01
It was all different. Everything had changed. Our timetable, teachers, subjects, classmates. 00:12:09
But I have to say that I had very good luck because there were a lot of people from my school in my class. 00:12:17
Although I knew mostly all of them, there were also new classmates who along these years I have met and they are now part of my group of friends. 00:12:24
I will remember that year as one of my best ones because when I started I thought it was going to be very difficult but in the end it turned out to be great. 00:12:33
the courses were going on and on 00:12:44
and each time the studies became more and more difficult 00:12:48
but with effort and perseverance 00:12:52
you could get whatever you wanted 00:12:54
and that's why I'm here 00:12:58
in my last year of high school 00:13:00
giving you my graduation speech 00:13:02
which I hope you are enjoying 00:13:04
another thing which I have to tell you about 00:13:06
is the opportunities the teachers have given us 00:13:10
to travel to different countries. 00:13:13
I traveled to Andorra in my first year, 00:13:15
and there I learned how to ski. 00:13:18
In my second year, they offered me 00:13:20
the fantastic opportunity to go to Jaca, 00:13:23
where I did an English course with some of my classmates, 00:13:26
and I also went to Galicia in third of ESO. 00:13:30
But without doubt, the most amazing trips 00:13:33
I have done with this high school 00:13:36
were when I went to Paris in fourth of ESO, 00:13:38
and last year when I went to the USA. 00:13:41
Well, I will tell you why these ones are the trips I like the most. 00:13:45
I enjoyed Paris a lot because it represented the end of ESO 00:13:50
and I went with all my best friends, so it's a trip I will never forget. 00:13:54
And the best experience for me was the trip my English teachers prepared for us 00:14:00
in the exchange with some students of Pembroke, a town in Boston, 00:14:04
and the visit to New York. 00:14:09
It was like an adventure for me because I had to get used to a family that wasn't mine 00:14:10
and to go to a high school where I learned so many things. 00:14:16
But the most important thing for me of that experience is that now I have an incredible American friend. 00:14:20
Finally, I have to thank all my teachers, my classmates, the caretakers, the headmasters, 00:14:27
well the whole high school for making my experience at this high school one thing 00:14:33
which will form part of my best memories forever. So let's start. It is over everything is 00:14:39
finished. Six years have passed since we were unsure children entering a building 00:14:48
that scared us. Six years in which everyone absolutely everyone have laughed 00:14:53
and cried. Six wonderful years which has this time only exist in our memories. 00:14:58
Yes, folks, no more getting up in the morning to see our friends, classmates and teachers. 00:15:05
Waking up every day knowing who and what we face. 00:15:11
From now on, a new stage has just started. 00:15:16
The same story repeats itself, full of nerves, insecurities and curiosities facing a new challenge. 00:15:19
But I'm sure that it will be as fantastic as these six years or even better. 00:15:26
On the one hand, during these days we have had to study really hard to pass the very 00:15:30
difficult exams, even we have had to stay up late many nights, but we shouldn't only 00:15:36
remember the hard part, because on the other hand, there have been a lot of positive things 00:15:42
that we must also remember, such as the 5 minutes between classes, the breaks, the teacher's 00:15:48
emotional speeches, the trips, the people who became good friends, and also that we 00:15:53
have grown up and matured too. I would like you to listen to this wise quote 00:15:58
which can summarize my six years in our high school. Don't be afraid to take a 00:16:04
big step. A precipice hoping is not past. All of us deserve to carry out 00:16:10
our dreams and to get them we must go through different steps. We have already 00:16:16
finished school and high school so we are now closer to our dreams. A lot of 00:16:22
people have gone through our life in these years and although some of them 00:16:29
continue with us, others are still on the way but I think that all of them, those 00:16:33
who are still and those who are not anymore deserve my gratitude. So thank 00:16:39
you very much classmates, teachers, family and friends. You all have made me so 00:16:44
happy that's the reason why i will not forget you and also i will never forget all the people who 00:16:50
have marked my life even though today is the day when our paths separated it's the day for 00:16:56
congratulations to be able to say that we have made it and look this experience like a reward 00:17:02
we did it and as i said before everything ends but it also begins i believe i'm finally here 00:17:10
As you all know, I'm Julián and I'm supposed to talk about my experience at Caileo Caile. 00:17:17
I would like to start with the beginning. We all were a group of insecure and shy children that 00:17:22
wanted to grow up all together. Most of us had known each other in our previous school but even 00:17:27
so it was a big change in our lives. Now we have another milestone because in the next five months 00:17:33
our life will completely change again. We made it. After six long years we are here to say goodbye. 00:17:39
I would like to thank this school, because I do not know if it's the best one with respect to marks and studies, 00:17:47
but there is something essential, in my opinion more important than marks, they get. 00:17:54
They make people feel like they fit in, because there are a lot of kids that feel alone just because they think they are different, 00:17:58
or making friends is more difficult for them. 00:18:05
This school always tries to make you feel good with the people that are around you, and make you feel good with yourself. 00:18:08
Maybe you think it is a silly thing, but I don't think so, so thank you. 00:18:15
I can perfectly remember at the age of 15, I joined a trade union. 00:18:20
I did not like what the government was doing, so I decided to become part of an association 00:18:26
that I could be more informed about public education. 00:18:31
I would want this school to encourage their students to defend our education, which is 00:18:34
getting worse and worse. 00:18:39
When I came here, I had never left Spain. 00:18:41
Now, I visited more than 10 countries, principally because of all the opportunities you have 00:18:44
offered to me. 00:18:49
I went to Lleida in second of ESL, it was my first trip with the school and I will never 00:18:51
forget it. 00:18:56
After that, I went to Paris two years later, with almost only classmates. 00:18:57
We spent almost a week there, and it is one of the best trips I will ever remember. 00:19:02
I also visited Poland with lots of friends, and when this year was starting, we went to 00:19:08
Pembroke to the USA to live for a week with the host family. I have really learned from 00:19:13
these countries. It is always good when you learn things from other cultures. 00:19:18
Apart from that, I would like to remember every single magic moment I have had at this 00:19:24
school. I came here at the age of 12 when my worries were just doing my homework or 00:19:28
having a good behavior at home. It all has changed. I have grown up here, we have grown 00:19:34
up here and I'm going to miss you because after all the most important thing I have gained in 00:19:40
this long trip is you. Thank you for putting up with me and for loving me. There is a quote that 00:19:45
says, I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, 00:19:52
but people will never forget how you made them feel and I feel so lucky to have the friends I 00:19:58
have. So thank you so much. I can't say goodbye without telling my parents how I thank them all 00:20:03
the effort they have put on you. It is also hard for our parents seeing us, how we suffer 00:20:09
and how we try to make the most of us. They are the ones who never fail you, and I also 00:20:15
feel lucky for that. And that's all. Just remember, when you lose, do not look at what 00:20:20
you lost, but what's left to win. 00:20:26
I stayed at the Stardew when I was 11 years old. I still remember the first day I came 00:20:29
into the high school I was excited and a little bit nervous to know the place 00:20:37
where I will spend the next six year of my life. I remember that the first thing 00:20:41
I saw was the huge playground that is in front of the building. I imagined myself 00:20:45
playing football there as I used to do in primary school, something that you 00:20:50
realize that it is impossible because of the amount of people in 00:20:55
there. The first day of classes I was really lost. There were a lot of people 00:20:59
running from one class to the other and I didn't know where I had to go. I was really 00:21:04
stressed. The first two years of ESO were good. I was happy with my new high school, 00:21:09
the classes weren't so difficult and most of my classmates were old friends. This was 00:21:15
often a worry that you have when you enter here. Would I be with my friends in class? 00:21:20
I remember us going year after year to see the list of classes and always the same. It 00:21:28
He was the only student that was never with his best friends in class. 00:21:34
Then, we arrived at third of ESL. 00:21:39
The year where they said we are going to fail all the subjects, the more difficult year, 00:21:41
and some other silly things that people used to say to us. 00:21:47
Don't worry about being in third of ESL. 00:21:52
It is true that you start to have some difficult subjects such as chemistry, 00:21:54
but don't be afraid of that. 00:21:59
It is a normal year if you study. 00:22:01
Fort Ofeso was our last year of freedom. It was the year where teachers told you to start thinking what you wanted to study in the future and I think this is the year when I figured out what I want to be when I'm older. 00:22:03
I remember Fort Ofeso as my best year in high school. I spent all day hanging out with friends and despite that I got very good marks. 00:22:17
This is also the year where I started to dislike some teachers whose name I won't say but they perfectly know who they are. 00:22:25
the art. Now I'm going to talk about the worst two years of your academic life, 00:22:31
bachillerato years. Bachillerato is the two years state where you realize that your 00:22:35
daily routine will be going to school, study, have dinner, study and sleep during 00:22:41
the week and wake up, study, have lunch, study, have dinner, study and sleep during 00:22:45
the weekend. This is the stage where you confirm what you started to 00:22:51
think in front of us. Teachers are a little bit weird, because they want you to know 00:22:55
lots and lots of things when they personally know that you won't need 00:23:02
any help. These two years are stressful. You have to have your ideas very clear 00:23:06
and you have to learn how to select information, because if you want to have 00:23:11
a minimum social life you have to prioritize some subjects and leave 00:23:15
others. And finally, here we are. The day we finish this stage of our life. 00:23:19
The end of six years of suffering, dedication and effort. 00:23:24
I only hope our next state, our next state, university, will be more beautiful and interesting than this. 00:23:28
I want to end this speech thanking to my parents the effort and dedication that they put on me 00:23:35
and for being there always I need. 00:23:40
Because although they couldn't come to my graduation, I know that even being in Brazil they are very proud of themselves. 00:23:42
Thank you ma'am and thank you everybody. 00:23:48
Hello, my name is Alvaro and I'm going to talk about my experience in high school. 00:23:50
Everything began in September of 2010 when I finished the 6th grade in elementary school 00:24:03
called Alcor and went to 1st of ESO in the Guadalajara Lake High School. 00:24:08
At first it was weird, I didn't know almost anybody and everything was new. 00:24:14
The only thing that got me down was the idea that everybody was in the same or similar 00:24:19
situation as me. Days passed by and everything started to make sense. I met a 00:24:23
lot of people and my studies were okay. During the recess I used to play 00:24:30
risky games with my friends and we had a lot of fun. Finally the 00:24:35
teachers started to get to know me and they realized they needed to 00:24:40
keep an eye on me at all times. A year passed by and I began my second year of 00:24:44
of high school. I started to get a little more out of control with some new 00:24:50
friends I met and the same happened with my studies. One day I met with three 00:24:55
friends we we had never we had never to hang out together but we did anyway. 00:25:01
I remember that was sorry I remember that we started to doing stupid things 00:25:07
and those stupid things brought us to do things even more stupid, until we suddenly got arrested 00:25:14
by the police. It was messed up. I had never seen my parents so mad. I got grounded for 00:25:26
a long time. Fortunately, the judge let me and two of my friends on me off without any 00:25:33
charges. After that, I decided to calm a little bit down and behave more properly. 00:25:39
Unfortunately, it didn't last long. The next year, I got suspended for a whole 00:25:45
month for doing more stupid things with one of my classmates. Of course, my 00:25:50
parents were really mad and I got grounded again. Studies were simply okay. 00:25:55
That same year was the first year we had to choose to show something 00:25:59
about our classes and what to study and I remember I was always trying to choose 00:26:04
to chose the easiest subjects like music, photography, technology, IT. I know it 00:26:09
seemed like I was going the wrong direction and that maybe I was a big 00:26:17
rebel but once I got to my fourth year it changed. I chose social science. I met 00:26:22
new and good friends which are the ones I'm still hanging out with and I started 00:26:29
take studies more seriously. Fourth of April happened to be my best year of high 00:26:34
school because I got used to have good grades without a lot of effort. I started 00:26:40
going out with my friends to do cool things and it got in shape and I made my 00:26:45
parents happier than ever. And the most important thing, I was looking forward to 00:26:50
go one year to the United States to do first of a G.A. Dato. So I finished fourth 00:26:56
year and I got my ESO diploma without any trouble. I had one of my best summers 00:27:02
and the 5th of August I left to a new country. My year in the United States 00:27:07
was above all an unbelievably full experience. The beginning was a little 00:27:14
tough. I didn't know anybody. I was in a completely new place where people spoke 00:27:19
a completely different language and where my loved ones were 00:27:25
far far away and it wasn't going to have a chance of seeing them again until we 00:27:31
finished that school year. First I met my host family who came for me to the 00:27:37
airport after an eight-hour flight. They were really nice people. At the beginning 00:27:43
we tried to communicate with each other using everything we could like our 00:27:49
hands, noises, and even different languages. They lived in a town called Quincy just 00:27:53
ten miles south of Boston in a little unhomely house. When high school began I 00:27:59
was terrified. The building was so big I got lost more than a few times during 00:28:04
the first week. There were so many people every time I had any class I didn't know 00:28:10
what to expect and they all happened to be really different. The room, the teacher 00:28:15
and the classmates. The schedule was different as well and the sports 00:28:19
Sports were divided into three seasons so in each season you would have a sport related 00:28:25
to that season. 00:28:31
In my case I chose soccer in the first season. 00:28:32
I had it right after school and it was one of the most important and helpful things I 00:28:36
could have done because it was where I met the friends I still have right now miles away. 00:28:43
I remember when I first met my best friend Miguel. 00:28:51
It was really surprising because one day I went to practice and before it started, one 00:28:56
friend I met told me that one of the teammates is from Spain too. 00:29:01
At first I didn't believe him until I saw and heard him with my own eyes and ears. 00:29:08
After introducing him to each other, I saw that he was a good person and when days and 00:29:15
weeks passed by we became best friends. He's one of the people who helped me the 00:29:21
most to make it through the day when I was homesick or when I needed help with 00:29:27
some transitions and thanks to him I started to get to know more and 00:29:32
fancy look and more people of every kind. I got popular pretty soon because of my 00:29:37
nationality and my fancy look as well. The two other sports I did were 00:29:44
swimming and track field. Swimming was good. I realized that I was fast in the 00:29:52
competitions we went to, which is always good news. After four 00:29:57
months everything was not totally better. Almost everything was where it needed to 00:30:03
be. I improved my English, my relationships, sports wasn't really 00:30:08
difficult. I was doing six days, I was doing a sport six days per week. I had my 00:30:13
group of friends to go out with. I only had to live the experience. Not everything 00:30:19
was so good though. There were bad days and really bad days where you felt lonely 00:30:25
or homesick. It was in those days when I felt bad that I, when I feel, when I felt 00:30:31
but then I asked myself, why did I feel this way? 00:30:38
So I started to look for some information on the internet, 00:30:43
and I found psychology, and I discovered Sigmund Freud. 00:30:46
Moreover, I visited places like New York City 00:30:51
and the snowy hills of the state of Vermont, 00:30:54
and I met all of my host family's family, 00:30:58
really nice people that I will not forget. 00:31:01
While I was there, at the beginning, 00:31:04
Sometimes I wanted to go back so bad, and when my time to leave came, I didn't want to. 00:31:06
Once I returned to Spain, I literally felt like the happiest person ever. 00:31:15
I was so excited to see all my loved ones again. 00:31:22
Right now, I find myself finishing what is supposed to be my last year of high school, 00:31:25
which I'm not doing really well because I haven't stopped doing stupid things after all these years. 00:31:30
and now i'm going to talk about my sixth year in galileo galilei high school i hope that this 00:31:36
year will be the last one here during these six years i've lived many experiences most of them 00:31:48
have been nice but i believe that bad experience to look like in all life aspects i arrived six 00:31:53
years ago in 2010 i remember my first day when i walked through the front door i feel something 00:31:59
strange. I saw the stairs and a very long corridor and I feel like that because it was 00:32:06
new for me and it was so different from my school. That day the teachers put me in a 00:32:11
class different from my friends. I was so young and they separated me from them. I feel 00:32:17
sad. We thought that the headmaster of my school talked with my current headmaster for 00:32:22
say to her that we can go to the same class because we used to talk a lot. I meet a lot 00:32:28
of new friends in that class and I continued meeting with my old friends. In that year 00:32:33
I went to Gijón. It was my first time there and I met some friends, but nowadays I don't 00:32:38
keep in touch with any of them. In second of ESO I went without my new friends another 00:32:44
time, but I continued with the friends that I had known the last year another time. That 00:32:51
year is one that I less remember. I don't know why. Maybe because I didn't do anything 00:32:56
special like trips or something like that. In third of ESO I was so scared because the 00:33:01
people say that it's the most difficult year but for me it was normal. I didn't feel 00:33:06
difficulty in it. The teacher separated me from the people I'd known in the high 00:33:10
school. I had to meet different friends another time. I did it. I remember the first 00:33:16
day in the presentation. There was a new student in class and he was alone. I want 00:33:21
to talk with him and go to know him. Nowadays he's one of our group of friends 00:33:25
because I introduced him to my friend 00:33:30
and they connected as well as me. 00:33:33
That year we went to Galicia with Región. 00:33:36
I went with Jan and Nacho in the same room 00:33:38
and we enjoyed it so much. 00:33:40
Finally, in 4th of Fezo, 00:33:42
I went with my best friend for the first time. 00:33:44
It was a very nice year. 00:33:46
We enjoyed it a lot and we finally... 00:33:47
finished 4th of Fezo. 00:33:51
This year happened to me one of the bad feelings 00:33:55
when a teacher who was still in the high school 00:33:58
failed me with a 4.98. 00:34:00
I feel so angry with her, but I learned that being like that with a teacher is worth for you 00:34:03
because they have everything to win. 00:34:07
The last year, in first of bachillerato, is when the teacher started to be very hard 00:34:10
and the subjects were difficult. 00:34:15
I passed the course, but I couldn't pass maths, and today I have the recuperation. 00:34:18
This year we went to Rome. 00:34:23
In four of us, we went to Paris, and it was great, but Rome was by far the trip, the most beautiful trip. 00:34:25
I went only with Ian, but there we met people from our school, but younger. It was awesome. 00:34:34
And finally, that year, that has been so difficult and stressful, and my results have been so well, 00:34:41
but I'm going to pass the subject and leave the school this year. 00:34:47
I live a lot of moments here that I'm not going to forget never and I'm so happy because I continue with my friends of the school six years later and I've met a lot of new friends and a girlfriend here so I've been very satisfied. 00:34:49
I have had arguments with all the teachers, probably, but however, I'm going to meet some 00:35:03
of them. 00:35:10
Not all, because they have helped me a lot, and a lot of times, and I'm great with them. 00:35:11
That's all. 00:35:20
Hello. 00:35:21
They're family, friends, teacher, and classmates. 00:35:22
their family, friends, teacher and classmates. Today is a special day. On the 00:35:27
one hand it's a happy day because I have finished my bachillerato and on the 00:35:34
other hand today is a sad day because I'm going to leave many teachers, my 00:35:40
classmates and my school. I came here six years ago when I was only a child. I felt 00:35:44
this place was really strange because I didn't know almost anybody and many 00:35:53
people were older than me. It was really strange to have a different teacher for 00:35:57
different subjects. I can remember two teachers whose names were Alberto and 00:36:03
Carmen because they have been very important to me. This year has passed 00:36:09
very fast and now I'm going to leave this high school forever. But I will 00:36:15
always remember everything I have learned here and the people I have known during this 00:36:22
part of my life. But I don't want this to be a sad moment because I'm going to start 00:36:27
a new stage in my life in which I'm going to study what I really like. I look forward 00:36:33
to life this period because I think it will be a very exciting experience. I will enjoy 00:36:41
So, thanks teachers, good luck to my classmates, and it has been a pleasure to have shared 00:36:48
this part of my life with you. 00:36:55
