Does anybody know what this is? 00:00:23
Does anybody know what this big red dot is? Yes, some of you have found it out. 00:00:30
It's the city of Madrid. This is where some of us live and some of you live but 00:00:42
others live in maybe Las Rofas or Pozuelo de Aragón or maybe Majala 00:00:54
Onda, Boadilla del Monte or maybe Arcovendas, perhaps your uncle or aunt 00:01:04
work in San Sebastián de los Reyes or Alcalá de Henares or you've been to Pinto 00:01:22
or Aranjuez. All these black dots are towns and cities. You know that the 00:01:29
difference between a town in a city is that the city is bigger than the town. 00:01:43
Okay, so every town and province all these black dots and the big red dot 00:01:51
make up a province. Okay, good. 00:02:01
Now Spain not only has the province of Madrid but has 49 more provinces. 49 plus 00:02:09
Madrid make up 50 provinces. Okay, some of the provinces and these are the 00:02:24
provinces that surround Madrid are Segovia which is here, Ávila here, Toledo 00:02:33
here, Cuenca and Guadalajara. Okay, then some of you may know Cáceres or 00:02:47
Badajoz. Maybe you may know, let's go to the north of Spain, maybe you know 00:03:02
La Coruña, Lugo, Orense, Pontevedra, León, Asturias, Valencia. Okay, you know that right. 00:03:13
Maybe Valencia, Castellón, Alicante, Murcia, Almería, Málaga and Cádiz. Okay, there are 00:03:27
then 50 provinces in Spain. 00:03:42
