El Greco was a famous painter of the Spanish Renaissance and the modern age.

El Greco was born on the 1st of October of 1541 in Crete, in the Republic of Venice.

He lived for 24 years in Greece, then he lived 10 years in Italy, in Rome.

Later, in 1577, he went to Toledo, Spain, where he lived the rest of his life.

During his life, Enrico painted more than 100 paintings.

Salada loved his paintings but less to his family. He had a wife called Jerónima de las Cuevas and a son called Octavio.
