Hello, my name is Soledad Autes, I am a professor of English at IES Lázaro Cárdenas since 2007
00:00:05
and responsible for four European programs that have been developed in our center.
00:00:12
We started in 2009, participating in an uninterrupted way until today.
00:00:18
First we did Comenius, then they were Erasmus and now they are called Erasmus Plus.
00:00:25
Seven years ago, the Rio program began, which we coordinated during two school courses and which allowed us to know the language, literature, history, geography, music and the educational systems of our partners, who at that time were Dutch, Slovak, Polish and Norwegian.
00:00:31
It was an excellent experience that allowed us to establish relationships of friendship with these centers and encouraged us to continue on the path of Europeanization.
00:00:51
In 2010 we participated in a student mobility program with a Norwegian center in the city of Trondheim.
00:01:01
Thanks to this program, 12 students from both schools had the opportunity to attend
00:01:09
classes for a quarter, live in families and share the day to day with young people of
00:01:16
their own age.
00:01:22
This experience, which was funded and promoted like all the other programs by the European
00:01:23
Commission, allowed these 12 boys to live an unforgettable experience of those that mark
00:01:27
your life.
00:01:34
In 2011, we re-entered a very interesting program, this time called European Times, in which we worked with institutes in Greece, Norway and Ireland.
00:01:35
This program was press in the classroom and got students to work as editors of an authentic newspaper,
00:01:48
performing tasks of journalists, photographers, infographers.
00:01:57
At the same time that we reflected the daily life of young people in different European countries,
00:02:03
we became friends forever.
00:02:09
At this moment, we continue to bet on innovation and internationalization
00:02:11
thanks to our participation in a teacher mobility program called Go Europe.
00:02:16
Fourteen professors of our institute who were selected for their interest and for their training
00:02:23
have had the opportunity to attend courses or to carry out professional sessions in European centers.
00:02:29
Ten professors took courses on very interesting topics,
00:02:36
on the CLIL methodology, which allows you to teach your classes in English.
00:02:40
Also, other teachers learned about Erasmus Plus programs to be able to know them in depth and disseminate them.
00:02:45
There were also courses to improve the capacity of communication in the classroom and even to know firsthand the successful educational system of Finland.
00:02:54
Another group of four teachers held professional sessions of 15 days in educational centers in Turkey and Norway.
00:03:05
They observed in situ examples of good practices, familiarized themselves with their educational systems, their culture and even knew their languages.
00:03:12
In this way, they set the foundations for future joint projects that will favor our Center.
00:03:23
This Erasmus Plus program tries to dynamize the school community of our center, improve
00:03:30
the training of the teacher and establish contacts with other European educational institutions
00:03:37
that in the near future can benefit students, all teachers and even
00:03:43
the educational community of the institute. The 14 teachers have shared their experience in informative sessions
00:03:50
and also on the website of the Center, which I invite you to visit.
00:03:57
Now, some teachers who have participated in the program will tell us about their experience.
00:04:01
María Jesús Santorio, Spanish language teacher, Spanish language and literature,
00:04:08
and responsible for the exchange program with Austria.
00:04:13
My name is María Jesús Santorio, I am a teacher of Spanish language and literature
00:04:16
and I have been working at the Lázaro Cárdenas Institute since 2008.
00:04:21
00:05:29
Teresa Ena, professor of FOL and responsible for the practices of professional training students.
00:05:43
My name is Teresa Ena, I am a teacher of training and work orientation and I have 30 years of teaching experience.
00:05:52
The reason why I participated in the K1 program was to improve my linguistic competence in English.
00:05:59
I took an English course for teachers in Malta from July 18 to 22, 2016.
00:06:05
In addition to language learning, the exchange of experiences and opinions with teachers from other countries was very positive.
00:06:11
In the next course, I will apply in class some English practices related to the knowledge of people, which can be very interesting for my students on employment search issues.
00:06:19
00:06:31
de alumnos de formación profesional aló my name is pilar melendo
00:06:39
i have taken part in the ka1 erasmus plus program in order to improve my professional
00:06:45
and linguistic skills. I attended a CLIL course in Dublin last year from the 22nd to 27th of May.
00:07:00
00:07:23
Me llamo Julia Sánchez Amores.
00:07:27
professor of Geography and History since 1987 and currently teaching classes at the levels of 4th of ESO and 2nd of Bachillerato.
00:07:32
It is the first time that I have participated in a European program, the K1.
00:07:41
My purposes have been, fundamentally, the acquisition of skills regarding the English language,
00:07:45
in order to be able to apply this knowledge, essential to today, to expand the skills of my students,
00:07:51
in particular in the projects to be carried out.
00:07:56
00:08:24
From a personal point of view, the enrichment has been high, especially due to the historical situation that is being experienced both in Scotland and in Great Britain today.
00:08:27
For all this, this experience has been complete.
00:08:37
Of course, it is highly recommended for all those who maintain the concerns of improvement regarding our profession.
00:08:40
Sergio Ferreiro, professor of the Department of Drawing, polyglot professor and who has participated in all the European programmes of this centre.
00:08:47
Hola, soy Sergio Ferreiro Llanes, profesor de dibujo de Elías Lázaro Cárdenas.
00:08:56
I teach in this high school since 1995, the year of its creation.
00:09:04
After 22 years working like a teacher of technical and artistic drawing and plastic and audiovisual education,
00:09:11
I have always been interested in improving my skills and those from my students.
00:09:21
For this reason, I have been involved in all the programs that Soledad Autes has coordinated and directed.
00:09:26
Europe is a new world that our students must know and discover, because they are going to be its citizens in the future.
00:09:36
For now in its educational present, je fais un cours scolaire à Dublin entre la fin de février et le début de mars, le 26 février au 4 mars de cet an.
00:09:45
00:10:02
As I am sure that you know one thing that I do not know,
00:10:15
and at the same time I know something that you do not know,
00:10:20
the best activity we can do
00:10:25
is to play all the time with the teacher and the student of each year.
00:10:28
Is not it true, dear friend?
00:10:34
All the teachers who have participated in the program will apply in the classroom
00:10:37
the acquired knowledge
00:10:41
and we will continue the process of internationalization of the IES Lázaro Cárdenas,
00:10:43
a center that in recent years has shown its commitment to Europe
00:10:47
and its interest in helping its students to be committed European citizens,
00:10:52
to improve their domain of languages and to first learn the culture and educational systems of other countries,
00:10:57
establishing lasting bonds of friendship and respect.
