Hi, everyone. Today, we're going to be talking about adjectives. 00:00:01
We use adjectives to describe people and things. 00:00:15
Adjectives always stay the same. 00:00:21
So what does that mean? 00:00:25
It means that adjectives describe how things are. 00:00:26
For example, here we have this bear. 00:00:31
and it says the bear is big and brown. The adjectives in this example are big and brown. 00:00:34
Big and brown tells us exactly how the bear is. We know that the bear is really, really big 00:00:46
and that he is also brown. But what happens if we have more than one? Here we have two bears. 00:00:53
And it says, the bears are big and brown. 00:01:04
We use are instead of is because there are more than one bear. 00:01:10
We have one, two bears. 00:01:19
So instead of is, we use are. 00:01:22
And the adjectives in this example are big and brown. 00:01:26
And we see that the adjectives stayed the same even though there are more than one bear. 00:01:30
Now let's look at another example. 00:01:39
Here we have a duck. 00:01:42
And it says, the duck is small and yellow. 00:01:45
So the adjectives in this example are small and yellow. 00:01:51
But what happens if we have more than one duck? 00:01:57
In this example, we have one, two, three ducks. 00:02:00
And it says, the ducks are small and yellow. 00:02:10
And because we have one, two, three ducks, we use are instead of is, 00:02:17
but we see that the adjectives are still the same. 00:02:23
The ducks are small and yellow. 00:02:26
