good morning i am going to present a learning situation i did with a group of first-season non-bilingual students they were divided in teams of four and they had to invent perform and tape a visit to the doctor in which one was the doctor another the nurse another a kid patient and the last one the adult companion 00:00:00
This way they used the grammar in first and third person. 00:00:16
They learnt body vocabulary and modelled verbs of ability and advice, such as can, can't, should or shouldn't. 00:00:19
It was very interesting for them, as it is similar to real life, they used realia and they could interact with each other a lot. 00:00:25
In the class there is a student within the autism spectrum, and two with ADHD, which are allowed to read the scripts and additional materials, such as transcripts. 00:00:32
There is also a gifted student that helps others and gives ideas for the dialogues. 00:00:40
As you can see, there are six sessions which advance from learning the vocabulary to writing the script, 00:00:45
performing it in front of the assistant and the classmates who give feedback, and taping it with my final assessment and their own self-assessment. 00:00:51
