Hello there. I'm going to share a couple of sites to work with Emoji that I really like. 00:00:00
They're very, very easy to use and yes, they're also great for online teaching. 00:00:05
The first one is Emoji, emojitranslate.com. 00:00:11
Here you can paste any text up here and it will automatically translate it into Emoji down here. 00:00:16
So I'm going to paste the beginning from Summertime, the song. 00:00:23
and here we have the result now you can make any changes you can edit this for 00:00:28
instance I'm going to change to quite like this symbol for jump in so I'm 00:00:37
going to stick to jump in I think that that would be too confusing you can also 00:00:41
look for some other emoji you've got emojipedia you would copy the emoji that 00:00:47
you like and then paste it over here and once you're happy with the final results 00:00:54
you would copy the whole thing and you would paste it on the documents that 00:01:00
you're going to be working on okay and you can change the size you can add 00:01:05
gap fields or any other type of activity the second tool I'd like to share is 00:01:12
this random image generator this is a great speaking activity with the 00:01:19
students build a story based on the emoji that appear on the screen. So one 00:01:25
student would start with this emoji over here and then we press and then and the 00:01:31
second students and other students will continue the story based on that and 00:01:38
then so each students would be contributing to the story based on the 00:01:43
emoji you can tell the result will be a fun chain story and yeah we only need to 00:01:54
be careful with those plot twists certainly loads of fun and in a great 00:02:03
group activity so I hope you find this science useful are there any other ways 00:02:09
in which you use them do you have any other ideas we'd certainly love to know 00:02:16
about them. Thanks so very much for watching. 00:02:21
