Hello, I'm going to talk about the polar bear. The polar bear is the most wild, largest carnivorous mammal. They live in the northern hemisphere and they can eat 30 years. The weight of males is between 2 and 4 meters and their weight is between 350 and 700 kilograms. 00:00:00
The female measure is between 1.8 and 2.4 meters and the reds are the lobes for walking and swimming. 00:00:30
The skin of the polar bears is not white, it's black because the light reflected on the skin of the polar bear 00:00:43
We can see that it is white, not black. 00:00:56
They usually live in Greenland, Alaska and Canada. 00:01:02
They feed on small seals and sometimes on brinders. 00:01:09
They eat 30 kilograms and the only problem are humans that kill them. 00:01:15
This is all. 00:01:28
I am going to talk about the polar ecosystem. 00:01:30
The polar ecosystem is divided in two parts, the Arctic and the Antarctic. 00:01:34
They are also called the North Pole and the South Pole. 00:01:39
The climate in Antarctica in winter is about negative 40°C and in summer negative 32°C. 00:01:42
And in Antarctica in winter is negative 89°C and in summer negative 62°C. 00:01:58
The difference between the Arctic and the Antarctic, there are lots of differences between the Arctic and the Antarctic but I am only going to talk about the difference of flora and fauna. 00:02:12
The difference of fauna is that it lives, the bolivars live in the Arctic and penguins live in the Antarctic. 00:02:25
And in flora, in the Arctic, it exists some plants, and no plants exist in the Antarctic. 00:02:37
One protein in the Arctic is the producer, the algae. 00:02:44
The primary consumer, the shrimp. 00:02:50
The secondary consumer, the Arctic cod. 00:02:53
And the tertiary consumer, the ring seal. 00:02:56
And in the Arctic, the producer, the phytoplankton. 00:03:00
the primary consumer, the quill, and the secondary consumer, the baleen quill. 00:03:04
There are two threes of the Arctic and Antarctic, the oil and gas development and the climate change. 00:03:10
Because of pollution, the ice from the Arctic and Antarctic is melting, 00:03:20
So the sea level is rising and some islands, if we continue doing this, can disappear. 00:03:28
And finally I'm going to talk about the tribes of persons in the Arctic, because in the Antarctic it doesn't exist anymore. 00:03:40
The names are the Inuit, the Japi and the Alec. 00:03:48
I am going to talk about recycling, that is one of the things we can do to try to save the environment. 00:04:04
There are five types of bins. 00:04:15
The organic one, that is the red one, and inside of this there is a mini hamburger. 00:04:17
The paper and paper board, that is the blue one, and inside there we can put papers and 00:04:25
paper boards of the things. 00:04:33
The battery one, that is the white one, that is not the more common. 00:04:35
We use it for the batteries that we can't use. 00:04:40
The plastic one, that is the yellow one, we can use it for plastics that can be recycled 00:04:44
for using another time that it was new. 00:04:54
And the glass one, that is the green one, that inside there is a bottle of Coca-Cola 00:04:59
of glass. 00:05:06
You can recycle or later you can use another type of thing like the first time you use it. 00:05:07
I am going to talk about protecting the environment, animals. 00:05:18
The animals are very important for all. 00:05:25
This is one bird that is in the year of extinction and there are only 16 birds like this. 00:05:28
It lives in Mexico, in South America, North America and Canada and it's a terrestrial animal. 00:05:38
This manatee is an aquatic animal and there are only ten manatees in Mexico. 00:05:50
The habitats are very important for animals and when we are in parks we can't throw papers because the bears can't be there. 00:06:02
And this is my problem. 00:06:17
I'm going to talk about nutrition in an ecosystem. I'm going to start with producers. Plants, they make their own food from sunlight, water and mineral salts. Another type that they obtain from the soil. Another type of producers, they live in the aquatic ecosystem and it's called algae. 00:06:20
Later we have the primary consumers. There are animals that take their energy from the plants. 00:06:44
There are herbivorous animals. One of these examples are rabbits and mouse. 00:06:57
Later we have secondary consumers. There are carnivores that take their energy from eating primary consumers. 00:07:06
Later we have tertiary consumers. There are carnivores that they eat other carnivores. 00:07:16
For example, a hawk eats owls. 00:07:23
And later we have the predators. The predators may hunt the animals for food. The scavengers, they don't kill the animals, but they wait in a tree and later go down to eat them. 00:07:28
And finally we have the parasites. The parasites, they don't kill anybody, but they are taking the blood of the mammals little by little. 00:07:46
I am going to talk about how to protect the environment. 00:07:57
The human is the principal cause of the extinction of the animals. 00:08:03
We have cut lots of trees, polluted seas and burned lots of fossil fuels. 00:08:09
We can protect the environment by not cutting lots of trees, 00:08:19
not flowing rubbish to the seas and oceans, and not destroying the habitats of the animals. 00:08:25
Now I am going to talk about six animals in the Andalusian Tension. 00:08:36
One of them is the pink dolphin. 00:08:42
This is one photo from the river of Amazonas. It is in danger of extinction because we destroyed their habitats. 00:08:47
The adult is from 2.5 to 3 meters long and weighs from 110 to 200 kilograms. 00:09:04
And now I am going to talk about the Philippine flying fox bat. 00:09:19
This is one photo of him sleeping. 00:09:27
It's in the station because some hunters hunt them for food and others hunt them for taking them for decorating their houses. 00:09:30
They have them for that because they are the biggest bat in the world. 00:09:55
They have... 00:10:08
Now I am going to talk about the Green Macaw. 00:10:17
This is one photo. 00:10:20
It's in another station because the loss of items and the capital for trade eliminate them. 00:10:24
It can be from 70 to 80 cm long and weights 900 grams approximately. 00:10:36
And now I'm going to talk about the shark whale. The shark whale is in danger of extinction because we kill them with harpoons. 00:10:50
It is the biggest fish in the world with a history of sixty hundred million years, near 00:11:07
the age of the dinosaurs. 00:11:27
Now, the next animal is the Tartuc Carreta or Giant Amarillo. 00:11:32
This is one photo. 00:11:39
It's in Daniel's distinction because the use of habitats and the hunt killed them. 00:11:42
The last animal is in critical danger of extinction, is the Apistoma mexicano, this is the scientific name, the name is Ajolote. 00:11:57
They can be albils, whites, white partials and dunes. 00:12:16
the whites have dark eyes and the body all white the darks the aliens have all their body 00:12:30
black with white eyes the white partials have the body white but have 00:12:46
have green or black stains in their body. 00:12:54
The tombs have a coloration of dark green or black. 00:13:00
Now we're finished. 00:13:09
I'm going to talk about the werewolf. 00:13:11
This is an animal in the geophysicist because she suffered. 00:13:14
He killed them because they ate their sheep and cows, and many people killed them for making clothes and eating them. 00:13:19
There are only 408 brave wolves in the world. 00:13:33
The brave wolf was declared an animal in the Jewish tradition in 1976. 00:13:38
I talk about the protection of the terrestrial environment. 00:13:48
The terrestrial environment, the most important factors are soil conditions and the terrain. 00:13:56
Food chain is a group that is in the form of the produced, the primary consumer, the secondary consumer, and the tertiary consumer. 00:14:06
The environment is the thing that is around that is affecting the people. 00:14:19
The problem of environment is that the panda bear is in danger of extinction because the people catch the bamboo that the panda bear eats. 00:14:33
In aquatic environment, the most important factors are salinity, the amount of light and the water current, 00:14:52
and the temperature and the type of riverbed and seabed. 00:15:16
Freshwater ecosystem contains very low water and salt. 00:15:25
The marine ecosystem contains low levels of salt. 00:15:45
And the last is the food webs. 00:16:00
Food webs is more or less the food chain, but it's more different. It's a group that is more high that then you have more animals that eat them. It's more like a food chain but more high. 00:16:05
I am going to talk about endangered animals. There is a fund called World Wildlife Fund 00:16:27
that protects endangered animals and endangered plants. It was founded in 1916 by a French 00:16:36
and the headquarters are in such lands. 00:16:50
One of the endangered animals is the panda bear. 00:16:54
There are less than 2,500 panda bears in the natural habitat. 00:17:00
Panda bear is a special type of bamboo which takes 20 years to grow 00:17:10
and a little bit more to bloom. 00:17:18
So when men cut their branches, it takes a long time to grow. 00:17:21
The most endangered animal is the Iberian lynx. 00:17:31
There are only 200 Iberian lynx and they live in the Iberian Peninsula only. 00:17:36
They die because of poisons, shoots and also accidents like when a car hit the links. 00:17:43
There are many things we can do to save the planet. 00:18:09
I have done this parade with boxes of free-range chickens. 00:18:13
These chickens live in the open air and eat only natural things. 00:18:27
I am going to talk about the burning of the forest. 00:18:36
When people throw bottles on the forest, the sun hits the glass and it makes a magnified effect. 00:18:39
It burns all around it, for example the leaves or the trees. 00:18:53
This is bad because it destroys all the animal environment. 00:19:01
Hello, my name is Mario Castro and I am going to explain my project, which is called the 00:19:07
Earth and its problems. The Earth has got many problems and we have to search a solution 00:19:15
to those problems that we are causing. Those problems are pollution, global warming, deforestation 00:19:20
pollution and endangered species. Nowadays there are too much cars in the world, which 00:19:27
contaminate the earth because of this smoke and carbon dioxide. Factories also produce 00:19:40
carbon dioxide and smoke, but they aren't as harsh. They have got secretive certain 00:19:48
which lead to sun lakes and rivers and oceans which contaminate the water and the animals 00:19:55
which were there with chemical liquids. 00:20:07
The global warming is the amount of carbon dioxide in the earth. 00:20:12
When there is too much carbon dioxide in the earth, act like a cup which covers the earth and not let the heat from escaping. 00:20:18
So the temperature of the earth is warming and warming, so the polar ice caps are going to melt, 00:20:31
the sea level of water is going to increase and the small islands like the Canary Islands of Spain will disappear. 00:20:40
Deforestation is the loss of forests. 00:20:51
Forests are like the lamps of the earth because they produce oxygen. 00:20:55
People cut down many trees for producing goods and paper, for making things and roads. 00:21:00
But nobody thinks that if we cut all of those trees, the animals that inhabit on those trees could disappear because when they make the goods into small pieces. 00:21:10
The endangered species are the species in dangerous extinction. 00:21:24
This cause because, for example, with the panda bear, when we kill them, we take its skin with the expert to keep us warm. 00:21:29
But with all of those, the pandas are in danger of extinction because more and more species of them are disappearing because of that. 00:21:44
All of these problems have got solutions. 00:21:57
In our day by day we can save electricity, water, fuel and recycle every day. 00:22:03
Looking at the future I think we could build ecological houses or electric cars. 00:22:15
so we could not contaminate so much the earth. 00:22:24
