Hello Cookie Monsters! Welcome to a new PopsCard. Are you ready to hear a story?
00:00:00
Today we are going to read about a little caterpillar with a big appetite.
00:00:23
It's called The Very Hungry Caterpillar, written by Eric Carr.
00:00:30
Open your ears, because the story is going to start.
00:00:37
In the light of the moon, a little egg lay on a leaf.
00:00:44
On Sunday morning, the warm sun came up, and pow!
00:00:51
Out of the egg came a tiny and very hungry caterpillar.
00:00:56
Oh, I'm very hungry.
00:01:02
He started to look for some food.
00:01:08
On Monday, he ate through one apple.
00:01:12
One apple.
00:01:16
But he was still hungry.
00:01:18
Yes, I'm still hungry.
00:01:21
On Tuesday, he ate through two pears.
00:01:25
One and two pears, but he was still hungry.
00:01:30
On Wednesday, he ate three plants.
00:01:40
One, two, three plants, but he was still hungry.
00:01:46
Mmm, yummy, yummy! I love plants!
00:01:52
One, two, three.
00:01:56
On Thursday, he ate three or four strawberries.
00:01:59
One, two, three, four strawberries.
00:02:05
But he was still hungry.
00:02:12
Mmm, delicious!
00:02:14
On Friday, he ate three or five oranges.
00:02:17
One, two, three, four, five.
00:02:22
fine orange, but he was still hungry. Oh, what are we going to do with this caterpillar, guys?
00:02:27
On Saturday, he ate through one piece of chocolate cake, one ice cream cone, one pickle,
00:02:38
One slice of Swiss cheese, one slice of salami, one lollipop, one piece of cherry pie, one sausage, one cupcake, and one slice of watermelon.
00:02:47
And you know what? That night he had a stomachache.
00:03:05
Yes, very sick. Oh, poor Caterpillar.
00:03:11
The next day was Sunday again.
00:03:18
The caterpillar ate through one nice green leaf and after that he felt much better.
00:03:22
Yeah, I'm feeling better.
00:03:30
Now he wasn't angry anymore.
00:03:34
And you know what?
00:03:38
He wasn't a little caterpillar anymore.
00:03:39
He was a big fat caterpillar.
00:03:43
Yes, I'm a big caterpillar.
00:03:47
After that, he started to be a little sleepy.
00:03:52
He built a small house called a cocoon around himself.
00:03:58
He stayed inside for more than two weeks, that means Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and again Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
00:04:03
When he came out of the cocoon, he was not a caterpillar anymore.
00:04:28
He had turned into a beautiful butterfly.
00:04:35
Now he doesn't eat food or fruit anymore.
00:04:40
Now our butterfly can take pollen from the flowers.
00:04:45
Let's go to say bye-bye to the butterfly.
00:04:51
Bye-bye, little butterfly.
00:04:54
Did you like the story? It was one of my favorites.
00:04:58
Well, Cookie Monsters, hope we'll see you in a new fantastic story.
00:05:05
