In 2012, I came to Spain to research bilingual programs that we're developing 00:00:30
and I returned many times to provide workshops and seminars all around Spain. 00:00:34
This year, I've been invited to provide a course specially designed for bilingual teachers 00:00:39
with language assistance in Madrid, who teach English language arts, natural and social 00:00:44
sciences, physical education, art, and music. 00:00:49

There's a language assistant in my classroom. 00:01:00
It will be a hands-on active participation workshop conducted in English. 00:01:04
The format will consist of five modules divided between face-to-face and independent distance 00:01:08

The face-to-face will be conducted in a condensed, concise time frame and the distance time will 00:01:15

By the end of the workshop, you will create a product for each of the modules for your 00:02:00
personal use such as a getting ready handbook and a personal checklist and language assistant 00:02:04
management plan. You will develop strategies to create a collegial teaching environment with your 00:02:09
assistant, lesson plans to improve your students vocabulary and language skills using the assistant 00:02:14
as the language model, and fun and enjoyable student-centered hands-on games or projects. 00:02:21
