Push and pull forces part three. Do you remember all the push and pull forces? 00:00:00
So far we've reviewed contact and non-contact forces, also balanced and unbalanced forces. 00:00:23
Next, we'll review magnetism. It's the third kind of push and pull force. 00:00:38
Magnets have a force called magnetism. This can be a push or a pull force. Magnetism is a 00:00:54
non-contact force because a magnet moves an object without touching it. Most magnets are 00:01:08
man-made. They are made from iron and steel and can be different shapes, but some magnets are 00:01:16
natural. For example, the mineral magnetite is a natural magnet. But how do magnets work? Magnets 00:01:22
create a magnetic field around them. We cannot see these forces, but they attract objects made 00:01:31
of iron and steel. We can see the objects moving towards the magnet. In this photo, the iron 00:01:37
feelings show us where the magnetic field is. All magnets have two ends, the north pole and 00:01:43
the south pole. On the left, the north and south pole are opposite and therefore attract each other. 00:01:54
On the right, the same poles north and north repel against each other. Thanks for listening. See you soon. 00:02:02
