Let's continue forward on page 107, beginning with exercise four. 00:00:00
Order these pictures from oldest to most modern, then answer the questions. 00:00:09
An old invention will be the most old and simple model of a machine. 00:00:18
Modern means new and is the most current and exact model of the machine with the best working parts to function. 00:00:24
So the oldest model or version of a bicycle will have the least amount of parts and will look very old. 00:00:36
it will look like it is from a different time before us in history. So here we will write 00:00:51
number one for this bicycle because this is the oldest model of a bicycle. 00:00:59
Next look at the red bicycle. It has more parts on the frame 00:01:11
and the wheels look much newer because they are made from rubber material instead of wood material. 00:01:17
So this will be the next number two because it is the second oldest model of a bicycle, 00:01:26
and what number does that leave us here? What number is this model of the bicycle? 00:01:38
excellent this will be number three because this is the newest and most modern version and model 00:01:45
of the bicycle so now we will fill in what is it it's a bicycle is it a discovery and we know 00:01:58
that no, a bicycle is not a discovery. It's an invention that humans have 00:02:14
created to help us get from place to place using the wheel to move. So no, it's 00:02:23
an invention. Now we will skip exercise five because we do not have the stickers 00:02:32
and continue on to exercise six. First we have fire. Fire is a chemical reaction of light and 00:02:41
heat that occurs naturally. We have two pictures of fire here. Here is number one 00:02:55
and I want you to find number two. 00:03:05
You will find a man who is using fire to work with metal 00:03:10
and to make the metal soft 00:03:17
and to make the metal able to be reshaped. 00:03:19
Okay, so please find on this side, 00:03:24
the second picture of fire. 00:03:27
Next we have a wheel. 00:03:31
A wheel is a circle shape, 00:03:35
and it is made of wood, rubber, or metal material. 00:03:39
A wheel will spin to move objects, 00:03:43
and it will be placed on an axle 00:03:47
for a wheel and axle, simple machine. 00:03:50
I will find the first wheel for you right here, 00:03:55
made of wood. 00:03:59
And now I want you to look on this side 00:04:01
and find the second wheel. 00:04:05
Finally, we have plow. 00:04:10
A plow is a farm machine 00:04:13
used to turn over soil. 00:04:16
So we use a plow with its sharp end 00:04:20
to help us turn over soil 00:04:24
so that we can grow fruits and vegetables 00:04:26
on the farm. 00:04:30
Which one is the plow? 00:04:35
Yes, this is the plow right here. 00:04:37
Now please find the second image or picture of plow and connect on this side. 00:04:42
So you should have matched one, two, and three with fire, wheel, or plow. 00:04:52
Now let's read this last box of information. 00:05:01
A discovery means finding that something already exists, 00:05:05
but nobody has found before. 00:05:10
An invention is creating something new. 00:05:13
Discoveries and inventions help people 00:05:17
because they make life easier. 00:05:20
Fiery is a discovery. 00:05:22
A wheel and plow are inventions. 00:05:26
All right, that'll finish us up for today. 00:05:31
Thank you for reading and listening and completing your work. 00:05:34
You did a great job, and I will see you next time. 00:05:38
Okay, good job. Bye-bye. 00:05:42
