In this video, we will demonstrate how to use the IPC in a situation where the victim is completely incapacitated and in a lying position.

Step 1. Take the lower section of the IPC, which is clearly marked by the fluorescent indicator.

Make sure the large buckle is on the right-hand side of the victim.

Next, raise the victim's knees and place the IPC in a straight line at 90 degrees to the body.

The fluorescent indicator should be in the center next to the groin area.

Step 2. Close the leg straps around the victim's legs and slide the upper part of the IPC carefully under the victim's back.

Never use the IPC if you suspect that the victim has a back injury.

Step 3. Reach into the underarm areas and pull each side of the main harness, creating shoulder straps.

Step 4. Take a seat between the victim's legs and place your arms into both shoulder straps.

Try and make sure that the victim is positioned well on your back.

Tighten the large buckle if necessary.

For optimal comfort, make sure the shoulder pads are correctly located and close the chest buckle.

Pull the victim's arm close to you, roll over onto your knees so the victim is on your back.

Slowly lean back to transfer more weight to your legs.

Stand up slowly, keeping your back as straight as possible.
