I'm gonna tell you about is the oceanic. Can you guess what it is? Right next to 00:00:26
the ocean. Water bodies heat up and cool down slower than land. That's why 00:00:31
temperatures next to an ocean or sea are smooth and mild. Temperatures are mild 00:00:37
because of the ocean's influence. Summers are at around 20 degrees and winters are 00:00:43
at around 12. Precipitations are abundant during the four seasons. Galicia, 00:00:49
Asturias, Cantabria, Pais Vasco have this climate. 00:00:55
As we've seen, distance from the sea is one factor that affects the climate. 00:00:59
Another factor is the altitude, or height, from the sea level. 00:01:06
Did you know Spain is one of the most mountainous countries in Europe? 00:01:10
And that takes us to our next climate, mountainous. 00:01:15
It takes place in the most elevated zones of the peninsula, 00:01:19
as you can see in blue right now. The Pyrenees in north, the Cantabrian range next to the Cantabric 00:01:23
Sea, the Leon Mountains, the central system, the Burian system or the Vedic and Subvedic system. 00:01:30
In summer temperatures are cool and fresh at around 15 degrees and in the winter they are 00:01:38
usually below zero. Precipitation is abundant all year through but in the winter it mainly falls off 00:01:44
in the form of snow. Teide, Aneto or Nolasén are some examples. Now let's focus on what I call 00:01:52
typical Spanish climate or pure Mediterranean climate. Just go away from what I'm recording, 00:01:59
you're so far away. This climate is the envy of the climates. Remember temperatures aren't going 00:02:07
to be soft because the sea is next to it. There's very little precipitation especially in the areas 00:02:13

of the peninsula. This climate is typical from beautiful places like the capital of Madrid or 00:02:40
where I'm from, Zaragoza. In this climate temperatures are extreme, okay? Like 45 00:02:46
degrees in summer and below 5 in winter. The best part is that it never snows 00:02:52
because precipitations are irregular and scarce and they usually fall in spring 00:02:59
and autumn. Now let's gonna focus in the last type of climate we've got in Spain. 00:03:03
This is in the Canary Islands. In case you don't know, the Canary Islands are 00:03:09
really close to Africa. Much, much, much closer to the equator than the rest of 00:03:14
the climates from Spain. So all of the beautiful pictures you're seeing right 00:03:21
now belong to the subtropical climate. Temperatures are regular in mile all 00:03:26
year round, around 20-23 degrees. Since they're next to Africa there's very 00:03:32
