Okay, so this is Metamorphic Technique and basically Metamorphic Technique is a tool
00:00:13
for transformation, basically to self-empower the person who is receiving the technique.
00:00:22
It's not a therapy, we make no claims, but basically what we're doing is contacting the
00:00:33
innate intelligence of the body to make the shifts and changes that it needs to make in
00:00:46
its own time and space. So we work in a detached manner but that doesn't mean an uncaring manner.
00:00:52
We're the catalyst, as it were, for the changes that can take place within the person receiving
00:01:04
the technique. Just like the earth is a catalyst for the seed. The earth doesn't give to the
00:01:13
seed, the seed takes from the earth, basically. And any changes that are made are usually
00:01:22
permanent. So the butterfly was once the caterpillar, and then it becomes a chrysalis, and once
00:01:29
it becomes a butterfly, it will never be a caterpillar again. So such a transformation
00:01:40
was made.
00:01:46
Right, hence the metamorphic technique.
00:01:47
Hence the metamorphic technique. And it was derived from the work of Robert St John, who
00:01:48
was a British naturopath in the 1960s, and what St John found was that he was treating
00:01:53
symptoms that his patients were coming to him with, and he was treating the symptoms
00:01:59
and the symptoms would often go away, but then they would return, or something new would
00:02:05
take its place so he realized that he wasn't getting to the root of the cause
00:02:10
of the problem and he from his work as a naturopath he then went on to explore
00:02:15
reflexology and from reflexology he realized that he can access the whole of
00:02:24
the body just by working the spinal reflexes of the foot and that's this
00:02:30
area right here so this area here represents the foot and the hip area
00:02:34
represents the spine the spine did I say the foot so we're actually working on
00:02:40
the spinal reflexes of the body and what happened was that John realized that
00:02:50
when he was working on these spinal reflexes that he was actually accessing
00:02:58
the nine months in the womb so from that he then realized that the patterns that we set up in our
00:03:02
lives are actually learnt as it were in the womb and quite often a mother will have perhaps an
00:03:11
emotional trauma or a physical trauma of some kind and that creates a tension in the womb so
00:03:23
that tension in the womb is then transferred to the child and the point
00:03:29
at which that tension was experienced will then shape our experience through
00:03:34
life so for instance this area here is conception the conception point and
00:03:39
represents the father principle so perhaps there's a problem with father or
00:03:46
authority and that could be our own authority over ourselves can you start
00:03:51
diagnosed by feeling feet. We don't diagnose. We don't diagnose at all but
00:03:54
amazing changes have been shown to take place within the individual. Basically
00:04:00
people come when they're at a crossroads in their life. Maybe there's been a
00:04:05
death in the family, there's a bereavement, perhaps they're stuck as far
00:04:10
as they want to change their job and they don't know what they want to do.
00:04:16
Changes need to be made but they just don't know what that change is and they come
00:04:19
for a session and quite often what we find is that the job has changed, the relationship's
00:04:23
changed, the house has changed, someone's moved on, they no longer think the way they
00:04:30
used to think and these changes have been affected at very, very deep levels. So we
00:04:34
work for 20 minutes on each foot. I'm going to the left foot. And basically we start just
00:04:39
by feeling the foot. We're not looking at anything in particular. This is something
00:04:46
to keep our inquiring mind occupied, because the brain likes to have something to think
00:04:51
about. Again, we don't diagnose, we can observe what's going on. And then again, we start
00:04:57
to work the spinal reflex. So it's a transformational tool. So what St John found was that as he
00:05:03
was working with the feet, when he really found that he was onto something, was when
00:05:15
A lady brought a six-week-old child to see him with Down syndrome.
00:05:21
And St. John showed the mother how to work the feet with this technique.
00:05:27
And they went home and the child received the technique from the mother and the father, I believe.
00:05:32
And they would see Robert St. John once a week and he would give them the treatment.
00:05:40
And over the space of a year, the child moved out of the pattern of Down syndrome.
00:05:44
So don't look at things as symptoms.
00:05:48
Even though we don't diagnose, we don't look at anything as a symptom.
00:05:50
We say that you're perfect just the way you are in this moment,
00:05:53
but there's always a potential to be something more, whatever that potential may be.
00:05:56
And so John actually looked at Down syndrome and autism as being two extreme tension patterns that were set up in the womb.
00:06:07
And a lot of work has actually been done with children and older people also with mental
00:06:15
and learning difficulties and disabilities.
00:06:22
And what we find is that we start to loosen these patterns as we're working on the spinal
00:06:25
reflex.
00:06:29
These patterns are loosened and these people are able to move out of these patterns of
00:06:29
tension.
00:06:35
So literally a Down syndrome person was no longer Down syndrome?
00:06:36
Still probably still had the chromosome. Yeah, but did not exhibit the pattern of downs. So again, we make no claims
00:06:41
It's a it's a tension pattern. We look at these at all symptoms as patterns and patterns can be
00:06:50
transcended
00:06:57
So everyone should learn how to do this for their child everyone should learn how to do it
00:07:00
Yeah, it's very you can see how simple it is. I'll do it again. Yes. Yes. It's very very simple
00:07:03
it's some people will use a vibration maybe more of a stroking i tend to use this sort of circular
00:07:08
movement right here it's something that can be very easily taught and used a mother or father
00:07:17
can give it to their child what we do say is that on occasion a session is received from somebody
00:07:23
outside the family unit because an energetic circuit can be built up between the family
00:07:29
and quite often with dissolving patterns for instance you might be born into a family that
00:07:34
says we don't do anger for example and so you grow up through life not expressing yourself or
00:07:40
your what would be considered anger perhaps by your parents
00:07:49
and so what happens is it's constantly repressed so you receive a metamorphic technique and all
00:07:53
All of a sudden you just can't help yourself, it comes out.
00:08:00
But what happens is by expressing yourself how you want to, you're actually releasing
00:08:03
energy, you're releasing repressive feelings.
00:08:09
And quite often what happens is that everything else and everyone else around you will change
00:08:17
also.
00:08:20
So the environment around you will change as you change, because now you're expressing
00:08:21
yourself on a different level.
00:08:25
It becomes a different resonance.
00:08:28
we're coming to relationship with everything around us and as we come into relationship with
00:08:29
things everything else comes into relationship with us so we do 20 minutes on each foot basically
00:08:33
the feet are the most important because there are grounding the grounding part of us and then
00:08:40
we move to the hands so we do 20 minutes on each foot five minutes on each hand and again this
00:08:46
This represents the spinal reflex along the thumb here and across the wrist.
