My partner is Mexican and she's 38 and she works in finance. 00:00:03
My wife is called Molly and she has kind of long brown hair, big blue eyes and she's obviously 00:00:22
very beautiful. 00:00:32
She's very funny, very kind of charismatic. 00:00:33
He's really tall and he's got a nice lovely long nose which I love. 00:00:36
I love interesting noses. 00:00:41
We first met because we were studying the same course at university. 00:00:46
On a dating site, so we met at OkCupid. 00:00:50
We met in a bar. 00:00:53
First date was actually to a wine bar and we had a bottle of wine and shared a cheeseboard. 00:00:59
So our proper first date, I was obviously very nervous, you know, and tried to dress 00:01:07
up smart and look good and everything and it was great actually. 00:01:11
We went for a walk along the River Thames. 00:01:15
So I have a dating spot, makes me feel in control so I just invite everyone to one cafe 00:01:19
which is near my old university so it's an area I'm really familiar with. 00:01:27
I guess he's somebody that I share a lot of values with so I realized very early on that 00:01:38
he has a group of friends and it's very important for him, family is very important for him 00:01:44
And although we are so different, you know, these things really kind of tie us together. 00:01:51
Honestly, we are very different. 00:01:55
We have completely different hobbies. 00:01:56
We have completely different food cultures. 00:01:59
We enjoy completely different things. 00:02:03
She's very friendly, kind, generous, intelligent, funny. 00:02:05
She's a fantastic cook as well. 00:02:10
That's always important. 00:02:12
And she's beautiful. 00:02:14
I think we're happy together because we've got similar personalities. 00:02:19
and we kind of complement each other very well and she's very patient which 00:02:21
is important I think yeah and we just get on we like some of the things um I 00:02:27
don't know I think we do have similar interests so we both like similar films 00:02:33
so you can watch lots of films together um we're so you both really like 00:02:37
traveling so that was something that we used to you know would be really 00:02:41
excited about and I guess we have kind of similar goals and that we both want 00:02:45
to have a big family and go and live in the countryside and that kind of thing so I think 00:02:51
a lot of that it just helps. I've been with Molly for I think sort of 14 or 15 years and I think a 00:02:55
lot has changed about how people meet people in that time and from what I kind of know of the 00:03:05
modern dating world with you know dating apps and that kind of thing I'm sort of quite glad that I 00:03:10
don't have to go through that because it sounds like a really difficult thing to do. I think that 00:03:15
depends very much on your personality but it might be something like going to 00:03:20
a club or joining like a book club or athletics club or something where you've 00:03:24
got an interest in that and finding people with similar interests. I don't think 00:03:30
work's a good place really because often if you work together having a 00:03:33
relationship can also be quite precarious. Well I think putting myself, like not 00:03:38
giving up I guess that was a great thing like I guess I always kept looking so 00:03:43
So I was married and then it didn't work out and then I had another partner and that didn't work out but as soon as I would break up, I know a lot of people take some time but I just went, you know, went out. 00:03:49
I think it's perfectly acceptable and I think it's become more and more acceptable over the last decade or so. 00:04:06
It's great to kind of get you out of your comfort zone, so if you kind of feel a bit stuck in your dating life, you're not meeting anyone that you're connecting with, it's a good way to sort of get out there and meet a lot of different people. 00:04:12
Right, well my best friend is a lovely girl. In terms of appearance, she's quite small and slim, she's got long dark black hair. 00:04:30
My best friend is the same age as me and she is very funny, very friendly. 00:04:41
We met at university. She shared a house with an old girlfriend of mine and we've been friends ever since. 00:04:51
I met her at school actually. We've been friends since we were at secondary school together, so we met in music class. 00:04:59
I like her because as I said she's very caring but we also have a lot of we have the same kind 00:05:09
of viewpoints in life but in particular we care about the same social issues we have the same 00:05:23
sort of political viewpoints as well as of course we've been friends now for a very long time so we 00:05:29
have the same background in common we went to the same school we know an awful lot about each 00:05:34
other's lives and we've been there for each other I think particularly when 00:05:40
we've had sort of traumas in our lives I like the fact that she's very 00:05:45
passionate about the things she likes so she's a big big film fan and she loves 00:05:51
food and cooking as well and she's really into exercise and running as well 00:05:56
as am I and yeah she's a great company and a very good organiser 00:06:00
