Good morning! We are 4th grade ESB and this school year we have studied about how to take care of the ecosystem and the earth in general.

We realized that there is a problem at this school and we can solve it easily.

We saw that we wasted a lot of water and energy during the break time every day.

So we started to check all classrooms for almost three weeks to see who had left the lights, the digital boards and the taps on.

Here we have the results.

Regarding the water, every single day, except one, there were from one to five taps on.

And the flow in some cases was pretty strong.

So we waste around 150 liters of water at break when we leave the taps running with strong flow.

And taking into account that we need 50 liters when we take a short shower around 5 minutes,

we could have 3 showers with the water wasted.

The next part of our investigation was related to the light.

First, we asked Jesús what type of light bulbs we have at school.

As you know, there are different kinds of light bulbs and luckily we have the ones that use less amount of energy to work.

Secondly, we checked if the lights were turned off in all the classrooms when they were empty at break.

We found that the ground floor was the best.

Infant education classrooms, they were really good at turning off the lights.

The youngest students in the school are leading by example.

On the other hand, we found that the second floor was the worst, from third to sixth grade classroom.

There was only one single day that no one left the lights on.

As the oldest students in the school, we need to do better.

As you can see, we have a problem.

But luckily, we have some solutions to help.

First, we made a wrap from every bullet and closed the text properly.

Next, we wrote a fun story to explain why it's important to save water and energy.

We also invented games for kinders, first, second and third grade to play at break time.

This way they can learn while also having fun.

Last but not least, we designed posters and put them in the bathrooms.
