Previous Projects in San Isidro School 00:00:01

Firstly, our school has a long tradition in European projects. 00:00:06

We were a pioneer in Aranjuez. 00:00:09

We were partners in all of our projects. 00:00:12

We had not only projects in primary education, but also in nursery education. 00:00:14

Also, we interchanged pupils in all of our projects. 00:00:19

We had a great experience, not only for the teachers, but also for everyone involved. 00:00:22

Secondly, we had an exchange with another school from Spain. 00:00:27

Our main topics were, we shared different ways of teaching and learning strategies. 00:00:32

We learned about different environments. 00:00:36

We interchanged pupils. 00:00:38

We improved our ITC tools. 00:00:40

We began a tablet project. 00:00:42

We introduced tablets in our lessons. 00:00:44

We appreciated the way our pupils learned with the new technologies. 00:00:47

We won an innovation award with that project. 00:00:50

Thirdly, we also had GLOBE project. 00:00:55

The Global Learning and Observation to Benefit the Environment, GLOBE, program is an international 00:00:58

science and educational program that provides students and the public worldwide with the 00:01:03

opportunity to participate in data collection and the scientific process, and contribute 00:01:08

meaningfully to our understanding of the Earth, system, and global environment. 00:01:13

Announced by the USA government on Earth Day in 1994, GLOBE launched its worldwide implementation 00:01:17

in 1995. 00:01:22

It was a great experience for pupils and for teachers. 00:01:25

We learned so many things related with the environment. 00:01:27

Now we are going to talk about our previous commences project and the general idea of 00:01:30

countries main objectives etc. 00:01:35

Firstly we have a project titled the impact of meteorology in our lives. 00:01:38

It was from 2000 to 2002. 00:01:41

The UK, Finland and Sweden, Italy, Greece and Spain were the countries involved in the 00:01:44

project. 00:01:49

The main objectives in that project were promote ITC tools, improve English, teach cross-curricular 00:01:50

aspects related with tolerance and equal education to promote the teaching and learning of science. 00:01:55

Secondly, we have a project titled Human Rights in the Age of Globalization. It was from 2003 to 00:02:00

2005. The UK, Ireland, Spain, Italy, Romania, and Bulgaria were the countries involved in the 00:02:07

project. The main objectives in that project were teach cross-curricular aspects related with 00:02:13

the tolerance and equal education, know and work about children's rights, improve English, promote 00:02:18

ITC tools and learn about different cultures. Thirdly, we have a project titled Support and 00:02:24

Interdisciplinary Promotion of Learning Teaching as Means of European Dimension in School Education. 00:02:30

It was from 2003 to 2006. Italy, the UK, Finland, Greece, and Spain were the countries involved in 00:02:36

the project. The main objectives of the project were interchange learning methods, bring awareness 00:02:43

about the European dimension, improve English and get to know language partners, know different 00:02:50

educational systems, teach cross-curricular aspects, promote ITC tools, improve entrepreneurial 00:02:55

spirit. 00:03:02

Then, we have a project titled Culture and Community in the New Europe and the Wider 00:03:04

World. 00:03:09

Italy, the UK, Austria, and Spain were the countries involved in the project. 00:03:10

It was from 2006 to 2009. 00:03:14

The main objectives of the project were to promote a European identity, encourage a respect of understanding for the European cultures, heritage, and multilingualism, enable all pupils to develop appropriate skills, concepts, knowledge, and understanding, enable all pupils to participate in the democratic process at national and European levels, encourage within pupils an insight into global issues and responsibilities. 00:03:16

Finally, we had a project in nursery education very close to our project, Stay 3E. 00:03:42

We called Winnie's European Journal. 00:03:47

It was from 2005 to 2008. 00:03:49

Romania, the UK, France, and Spain were the countries involved in the project. 00:03:52

The main objectives in that project were each country has to talk about a local tree, 00:03:57

improve ITC tools, cultural effects in our plants. 00:04:02

We also created storytelling. 00:04:07

We made a scarecrow and learning about new topics related to ecology. 00:04:09

I studied in San Isidro and when I was in 6th degree, I participated in the Comenius project in UK. 00:04:22

In my opinion, it was a fantastic experience because I met a lot of people and I learned so much about other countries. 00:04:28
