Good morning, guys. Today we're going to talk about the future tense and specifically about will and going to. 00:00:00
We use will when we're going to express future actions decided at the moment of speaking, 00:00:09
otherwise known as an immediate decision. 00:00:19
an example of this could be if you're in a restaurant and you're choosing what to 00:00:23
eat and you say I will have the pizza you've made your decision right there in 00:00:32
the restaurant we use will when we express a prediction based on personal 00:00:40
opinions or experiences so these are predictions without evidence so you 00:00:49
could say for example I think Real Madrid will win the game so we use going 00:00:56
to when we express future plans decided before the moment of speaking so for 00:01:05
example, you may have planned to go on a trip at the weekend. So, you could say, I'm going 00:01:12
to go to Barcelona. We can also use going to to express a prediction based on present 00:01:23
evidence. Look, for example, at those black clouds. It is going to rain. Now, there are 00:01:34
ways to interchange and other examples of how to use the will or going to, but these 00:01:43
are the main ones. Now, I hope that's helped and good luck with your studies. 00:01:49
