Hello everyone, we are students in year 5 of primary education in the 00:00:00

We want to show you our school. This is the school garden. 00:00:10
Here we plant fruits and vegetables, like tomatoes and strawberries. 00:00:14
This is the computer classroom. Here we have several computers, 00:00:20
some laptops and a few tablets. 00:00:24
We come here to write documents, prepare presentations, send e-mails and also make 3D objects like key rings. 00:00:27
This is one of the two playgrounds where infants come up to play. 00:00:42
In tours, we come here to play with the little kids and to help looking after them. 00:00:47
This is the gym. It's my favorite place. Here we play different sports during the physical education classes. 00:00:54
We belong to a room patrol. We have to make sure that everyone keeps the playground clean. 00:01:02
We have different color bins and wheels to make sure that all the rubbish is thrown in the correct place. 00:01:08
Our school is located in Getafe, a city in the south of Madrid. 00:01:14
In Getafe we have the hills of the engines. This place is the geographic centre of the Iberian Peninsula. 00:01:18
People come here to do exercise and to have barbeque. 00:01:24
In Getafe you can also find the Charles III University. It is right opposite our school. 00:01:28
It is one of the best universities in Europe. In the past some of these buildings were the barracks of the army. 00:01:35
Another important place in our city is the Military Air Base. 00:01:41
It is one of the first military air bases in Spain. 00:01:46
In Getafe there are lots of French statues like this. 00:01:52
We can find it in some of the city's streets and avenues. 00:01:56
We live in a green city so we have kilometers of bike lanes like this one. 00:02:01
Here we can ride a bike or skate with our friends and family. 00:02:14
For me, being a global scholar is having an opportunity to learn new things of other cities and new cultures in Madrid. 00:02:20
It is also an opportunity to meet other people and a new way to practice more English. 00:02:28
We can meet new friends and talk to them online. 00:02:33
It is a different way of learning, not only a second learning, but also about the others experiences and ideas. 00:02:36
