Hello guys, my name is Violeta and I'm a student from 3rd grade in the Pablo Picasso High School. 00:00:01
I live with my family, my older brother and my parents. 00:00:07
Currently, I have no beds, but in the past I had two birds, Blue and Nube. 00:00:11
I live in the first floor of a flat. 00:00:16
Wouldn't exactly consider it tiny, but I'm sure it's not the biggest house of the neighborhood. 00:00:19
However, the good thing about having a small bedroom is that you get to lose your things less often. 00:00:25
so I think it's way better than how people imagine it is. 00:00:30
I live in Pinto, which is a small village in the community of Madrid. 00:00:36
My high school, Pablo Picasso, is located next to the mall, 00:00:40
and at the other side, there is a nice park where you can take a walk. 00:00:43
My school has a hall decorated with many photos, objects, pictures or crafts 00:00:48
that have to do with the events that occur during the year. 00:00:53
For example, we have a big craft in the world that says the 8th of March, the Women's Day. 00:00:56
We also have a cafeteria where they serve good omelet sandwiches. 00:01:04
You have to try them sometime. 00:01:09
Our school is full of plants in the courtyard in a decorative way 00:01:11
and we have a garden in which some students can participate during recess. 00:01:14
There are soccer, volleyball and basketball courts. 00:01:19
I think this is one of the best resources we have in the high school because most of the students 00:01:23
dedicate their time in the recess to play some sport they like. 00:01:28
The subject I like the most is biology. My teacher makes the content we teach 00:01:32
interesting and creates activities that soften the way of learning. 00:01:37
About what I do on a normal day, the first thing that I do is wake up and get up from bed. 00:01:42
I usually have milk for breakfast and sometimes a few cookies 00:01:47
because I'm not very hungry in the mornings. I take the bus at 10 to 8 and later I go into school 00:01:51
at half past eight. When I get back home I have lunch more or less at half past two, not very late 00:01:57
because I have volleyball training two hours later. I train four hours a week and sometimes 00:02:05
play tournaments on Saturdays. In my house again I have a little snack and take a shower before 00:02:10
doing my homework. Then I have dinner. My father is very good at making a Spanish omelet which I 00:02:17
like very much as I mentioned previously. Talking about Spanish dishes of course my mother often 00:02:24
makes gazpacho which is like a tomato soup but very salty. It can be confused with salmorejo 00:02:33
but the difference is that salmorejo is composed mainly by tomato while gazpacho has other 00:02:40
components like cucumber or pepper. Then after all this I go back to bed more or less well 00:02:48
depends on the day if I have many homework or I have an exam the next day. I go back to bed 00:02:56
at 11 p.m. more or less. I would like to talk now about Hollywood. In my opinion, I think it's a 00:03:06
very interesting neighborhood, but as it is very popular, it's full of crowds and sometimes it can 00:03:14
be annoying that there are too many of them, too many people. In general, I have always wanted to 00:03:21
travel to the United States, but I think Hollywood would be one of the places in my travel list 00:03:27
because of how much I love the world of cinema. 00:03:32
I have related it so much to it that every time someone mentions the name to me, 00:03:36
I instantly think about movies. 00:03:43
Plus, it has other things that make it popular, like the Walk of Fame. 00:03:46
I have friends who have gone and told me how interesting it was to see the more than 2,000 names of celebrities 00:03:52
that are engraved on the floor in the shape of stars. 00:03:58
to me it's a curious way to represent the success of people 00:04:01
I would like to go at least once in my life 00:04:05
to finish I will say that I really like this activity 00:04:09
and I hope that English teachers continue 00:04:14
that they keep suggesting this type of things 00:04:18
because they are very fun ways of learning 00:04:22
I am very glad of getting to know my partner 00:04:25
and i hope i can talk to my partner again i am very happy that i am participating in this 00:04:29
and the last thing i can say is thank you for listening i hope you liked it and goodbye 00:04:38
