I have designed the following learning situation for my first-office students, a highly motivated group with different language levels. 00:00:00
It is titled All Around the World since it is related to countries and nationalities in order to make students aware of and respect cultural differences, both in the class group and in the world. 00:00:06
They will work in groups of four or five members who will be chosen by the teacher so that the English levels are balanced. 00:00:14
Each group will represent a country and will have a weekly session to work together in class and ask doubts. 00:00:19
But what is really important is that everyone participates and collaborates within the group. 00:00:24
Therefore, each of the members will be assigned a role. 00:00:28
The aim of this activity is to reach all the students regardless of their learning differences. 00:00:30
The methodology followed is mainly project-based learning so that students are more creative and autonomous. 00:00:35
In every session, they will have to dedicate some time to research on the features of their country, 00:00:40
making use of technology and organize this information. 00:00:45
Finally, they will create a camera design to make it more visual for the final presentation. 00:00:47
On the day of the presentation, it is important they include a personal reflection. 00:00:52
Last but not least, the students will be assessed by means of rubrics. 00:00:56
Although they will get an individual mark for their final product, group work will also be highly considered. 00:00:59
