Hello. So I'm going to be reading If You Give a Mouse a Cookie. And the author is Laura Joff 00:00:00
Numeroff. This is one of my favorite stories when I was a child. So I'll go ahead and read it to you. 00:00:10
If you give a mouse a cookie, he's going to ask for a glass of milk. 00:00:19
he'll probably ask for a straw when you give him milk when he's finished he'll ask for a napkin 00:00:26
so he can wipe his face then he'll want to look in the mirror to make sure he doesn't have a milk 00:00:39
mustache when he looks in the mirror he might notice his hair needs a trim so he'll probably 00:00:50
ask for a pair of scissors. When he's finished trimming his hair, he'll want a broom to sweep 00:01:02
up. He'll start sweeping and may even sweep all the floors in the house. He may even end up washing 00:01:12
the floors as well. When he's done, he'll probably want to take a nap. You'll have to fix up a little 00:01:24
box with a blanket and a pillow. He'll crawl in, make himself all comfortable and fluff the pillow 00:01:34
a few times. He'll probably ask you to read him a story. So you'll read him a story from one of 00:01:46
your books and he'll ask to see the pictures. When he looks at the pictures, he'll get so excited. 00:01:57
He'll want to draw one of his own. 00:02:05
He'll ask for paper and crayons, and he'll draw a picture. 00:02:09
When the picture is finished, he'll want to sign his name with a pen. 00:02:15
So he'll ask for a pen, and you'll give it to him. 00:02:23
then he'll want to hang the picture on your refrigerator which means he'll need 00:02:27
some tape he'll hang up his drawing and stand back to look at it looking at the refrigerator 00:02:38
will remind him that he's thirsty so he'll ask for a glass of milk and chances are 00:02:49
if he asks for a glass of milk he's going to want a cookie as well 00:03:00
