hi class and welcome to this new adventure so in this case you are going 00:00:00
to be the teachers that is we are going to flip roles and you are going to 00:00:06
experience what is to become a teacher for some sessions or at least for a day 00:00:12
so what if I teach you now there we go on the one hand a did you know that 00:00:18
there are several ways to express hypothesis according to their level of 00:00:29
achievement that is depending on the hypothesis we express and how we achieve 00:00:33
that hypothesis or not we are going to use different kinds of structures these 00:00:39
are called conditional sentences and moreover have you ever thought about the 00:00:45
work we we have before coming to class and just teach you on any content okay 00:00:53
so let's try to fun about it okay so first of all I want you to have a look 00:01:02
at the goals we are going to try to achieve this this time on the one hand 00:01:08
you are going to do some research about the conditional design that is a there 00:01:14
there are several types of conditional sentences as I told you before but you 00:01:22
are going to be splitted into groups according to these types of conditional 00:01:28
clauses so each group will will have to do some research on conditionals in this 00:01:34
way later a you're going to design a presentation about that type of 00:01:42
conditional assigned right so you will have to transfer that content you have 00:01:49
you have found into a kind of presentation that you will be explaining 00:01:56
here in class more you will have to choose a couple of representative 00:02:02
exercises just because for the sake of time we are going to practice what you 00:02:08
have just explained and with a couple of exercises that we all do orally so 00:02:14
bear in mind that these exercises has to be a done accomplished in an oral way so 00:02:20
my recommendation is to look for online exercises later you will have to make 00:02:29
the complete or the presentation that that is including the exposition of 00:02:37
content and also the practice exercises that you have chosen before and finally 00:02:42
you will be evaluated by the rest of the groups according to a rubric we will be 00:02:50
doing later today so how are we going to organize all these things okay so you 00:02:57
are going to be a divided organized into four different groups of seven members 00:03:06
each as we are 28 students in class so this is perfect for this activity now 00:03:11
within those groups five members of each group will do some research on the 00:03:20
content that is how to use these types of conditionals or structure these 00:03:26
conditionals present and so on and so forth and the remaining two members of 00:03:32
each group will be looking for some exercises the ones I told you before now 00:03:38
each member will have a tablet or a computer to work with but sometimes you 00:03:45
know it is difficult to book to book the computer room so we will try to solve 00:03:52
this problem maybe with your own mobile phones or with the computer in class 00:03:58
perhaps we will have some other kind of failure of connection with the Wi-Fi 00:04:05
signal so in those cases we will have to delay these these sessions a little bit 00:04:10
more a couple of days maybe depending on the the amount of time we are we are out 00:04:17
of signal but anyway we will take advantage of that time and we can put 00:04:25
together what we have so far okay so we won't waste any time but don't worry 00:04:31
because you are not going to be alone in this adventure you are going to have an 00:04:37
online with you telling you where to start where to look for information what 00:04:41
kind of activities you can look for and so you have something to start with you 00:04:47
are not going to start from scratch and I have to say that this all this this 00:04:55
work is going to be done here in class with exception of the individual work 00:05:03
that is you will have to practice your presentations at home before the day of 00:05:07
the oral presentations here in class okay so how are we going to organize all 00:05:14
those things according to time so today we are presenting this new set of 00:05:23
activities these new adventures I call it and later we will be doing all 00:05:30
together that rubric for you to evaluate the oral presentations in the next three 00:05:36
sessions you will have time enough to research to do some research of the 00:05:42
contents and also for you to design the presentations okay so in these three 00:05:49
next days of these three next sessions you will have to look for the content 00:05:55
and also to transfer those contents into the presentation you have to design it 00:06:02
later we will have an extra session for you to look for the suitable exercises 00:06:09
for us to practice what you have been presenting before and finally you will 00:06:17
have three more sessions you will have the three last sessions for your oral 00:06:23
presentations of those contents that you have transferred as well as for us to 00:06:27
practice those contents together by means of those exercises that you you've 00:06:33
been looking for and also you'll be assessed that is the rest of the groups 00:06:39
will be using the rubric to evaluate your presentation okay now finally I 00:06:45
want you to have a look at these different points we have here for your 00:06:53
assessment I want you to know in base of what you are going to be assessed so 00:06:58
first of all about the group work it is important to be a cooperative in that no 00:07:03
member of the group works more than the other so it has to be a kind of balance 00:07:11
distribution of the work now later obviously you are going to be evaluated 00:07:16
according to the design of your presentations and also according to the 00:07:23
suitability of your content that is the content has to be appropriate it has to 00:07:28
be clear and also has to fit with the outline you are going to be given next 00:07:34
your oral presentation itself is going to be assessed as well how fluid you 00:07:42
speak if you explain things clear enough if you are able to transmit that those 00:07:48
contents and make your classmates the rest of your classmates understand what 00:07:58
you mean because remember that you are playing the role of a teacher and you 00:08:03
have to transmit content as well so you have to make your classmates understand 00:08:08
what you are saying and understand new concepts as well obviously you are going 00:08:13
to be using a foreign language in our case is English and not only for the 00:08:19
presentations but also to work within groups that is to work with your 00:08:24
classmates and also to look for the information and so on so in every single 00:08:30
time even if you have an issue or something you will have to use the 00:08:34
foreign language and I want this evaluation to be fair and objective so 00:08:40
we are going to work through rubrics now if you have any questions is your turn 00:08:46
you can raise your hands and I will answer those questions and if not we can 00:08:52
start with the rubric 00:08:56
