Hello everyone, we are the 4th grade A class activity and for Artistic May we research 00:00:00
one of the most famous museums in the world, the Louvre in Paris. We work in groups and choose a 00:00:11
piece of art from the Louvre collection, creating our own version of it. We learn about two different 00:00:19
cultures historical periods and artistic techniques most groups selected sculptures 00:00:28
especially from ancient egypt and used materials such as clay watercolor and cardboard to recreate 00:00:36
them now each group will present their artwork and explain what it represents and how they made it 00:00:44
Our group studied Landscape of the Fisherman, a painting made in 1755 by Giambapiste. 00:00:51
It showed fishermen working in a space full of natural settings and was explained by everyday life and nature. 00:01:08
To recreate it, we first used the scene with pencil and then painted it using watercolors. 00:01:18
We chose these artworks because we liked its calm atmosphere and pretty landscape. 00:01:30
Our group research an Egyptian canoping jar used during mummification. 00:01:41
Ancient Egyptians placed organs inside these jars because they believed in the afterlife. 00:01:53
We created it using clay and chose it because it is very interesting and teaches us about Egyptian beliefs. 00:02:04
The group created a sculpture inspired by an Egyptian coin from the Louvre. 00:02:16
We used mouldable clay in brown and green and shaped it into a dragon, ending the tiles with a marker. 00:02:34
We displayed it on white cardboard. 00:02:43
We chose this artwork because it was very beautiful. 00:02:49
Our group studied an ancient Egyptian amulet used for protection and decoration. 00:02:57
It is very old and has unusual shapes that could look like a person, bird, or man. 00:03:10
We recreated it using clay and painted it with blue acrylic paint. 00:03:22
We chose this piece because we like its colors and unique design. 00:03:30
Our group chose the Mona Lisa because it's very beautiful, famous and old and we were 00:03:37
curious about who she was. 00:03:51
It was painted by Leonardo da Vinci in the early 1500s and we recreated it by first drawing 00:03:54
which pencil and then coloring it with acrylic paint on cardboard 00:04:07
we hope you enjoy our projects thank you for watching 00:04:23
