In this video I would like to talk about the phylum echnoderms. 00:00:02
Echnoderms belong in the animal kingdom. 00:00:07
They are organisms found in the ocean and most of the time on the bottom of the ocean 00:00:10
floor. 00:00:16
Let's take a look at the five main groups of echnoderms. 00:00:17
All echnoderms have a radial symmetry and they usually have five or more arms. 00:00:51
They don't have a heart, a brain, or even eyes. 00:00:58
Their mouth is generally found underneath and their anus is found on top. 00:01:04
They have suction pads on their extremities. 00:01:10
Let's take a look at these. 00:01:14
Derms do have the ability to move and they move in various ways. 00:01:26
Most are carnivores and they feed on sponges and other mollusks. 00:01:32
But many are scavengers and some are decomposers. 00:01:37
Many echnoderms can regenerate their limbs. 00:01:43
And finally they reproduce both sexually and some reproduce asexually through fragmentation. 00:01:47
Echnoderms are pretty cool phylum. 00:01:57
