Good morning, class! Today we are going to visit Scotland. I love Scotland. I hope you like it. 00:00:03
Scotland is a region in the United Kingdom, and the United Kingdom is a country in Europe. 00:00:25
This place is magic. There are lots of legends, castles, and even monsters. 00:00:32
Landscapes in Scotland are wonderful, there are lots of mountains, rivers, castles and 00:00:39
amazing lakes. 00:00:51
But if you wanna have a look at Scotland landscapes, you have to watch Brave. 00:00:57
This movie is set in the rugged and mysterious highlands of Scotland. 00:01:03
and the views are amazing. 00:01:08
White secrets and mountains are fierce and bold 00:02:02
Deep waters hold reflections of times lost long ago 00:02:10
I will hear their every story take hold 00:02:15
In my own dream, be as strong as the seas are stormy 00:02:20
And proud as an eagle's sting 00:02:25
I will ride, I will fly 00:02:28
Chase the wind, chase the wind 00:02:31
Well, the Scottish animals. 00:02:37
There are lots of animals in Scotland like sheep, seals, otters, but my favourite one 00:03:24
is the cows. 00:03:33
Look at this cow. 00:03:35
In Scotland, cows have a fringe. 00:03:37
They are so cool. 00:03:40
are also deers and puffins. But do you know which one is my favorite Scottish 00:03:42
animal at all? The Gruffalo! The Gruffalo lives in Scotland in a deep dark wood in 00:03:50
Glasgow. If you pay attention you will see the characters of the story like the 00:04:00
The ruffalo, the mouse, the owl, the fox or the snake. 00:04:06
In Scotland, there are lots of legends, as I said before, but there is one very, very, very important. 00:04:18
It is said that there is a huge monster called Nessie in the Loch Ness in the highlands of Scotland. 00:04:25
It looks like a dinosaur. 00:04:34
Some people think it's true and some people think it's false. 00:04:37
What do you think? 00:04:40
The truth is that when I went to Scotland, I went to the Loch Ness to look for Nessie, but I didn't see the real Nessie. 00:04:41
But it was very funny looking for Nessie. 00:04:55
In Scotland, there are lots of secrets and mysteries related to Harry Potter. 00:05:06
because J.K. Rowling, the writer of this book, wrote this book in a coffee shop in Edinburgh, the capital city of Scotland. 00:05:12
Moreover, in Edinburgh, there is a magic shop where you can see the basilisk, like here, 00:05:24
the murderous map, like this, or even the magic mirror from book number two, The Chamber of the Secrets. 00:05:31
Also in Scotland, you can see the real Hogwarts Express, the Jacobite train, like in this picture. 00:05:40
And also in Edinburgh, there is a street which inspired J.K. Rowling to create the real Diagon Alley. 00:05:51
Bueno, chicos, pues hasta aquí el vídeo sobre la cultura escocesa. 00:06:01
I hope you liked it. I love Scotland and I'm looking forward to coming back. 00:06:07
Now, if you feel like it, you can look for a video about the legends of Scotland, 00:06:14
about the monster of the Lagoon, or a secret about Harry Potter, because there are some. 00:06:20
A little kiss. 00:06:28
