Farmer Duck 00:00:00
Farmer Duck 00:00:01
Written by Martin Waddle 00:00:13
There once was a duck who had the bad luck to live with a lazy old farmer. 00:00:19
The duck did the work. The farmer stayed all day in bed. 00:00:30
The duck fetched the cow from the field. 00:00:40
How goes the work? called the farmer. 00:00:43
The duck answered, quack 00:00:46
The duck brought the sheep from the hill 00:00:50
How goes the work, called the farmer 00:00:57
The duck answered, quack 00:01:01
The duck put the hens in the house 00:01:04
How goes the work, called the farmer 00:01:08
The duck answered, quack 00:01:11
The farmer got fat through staying in bed 00:01:15
and the poor duck got fed up with working all day. 00:01:22
How goes the work? 00:01:30
Crack 00:01:32
How goes the work? 00:01:32
Crack 00:01:35
How goes the work? 00:01:35
Crack 00:01:38
How goes the work? 00:01:39
Crack 00:01:41
How goes the work? 00:01:42
Crack 00:01:48
How goes the work? 00:01:49
Crack 00:01:51
The poor duck was sleepy and weepy and tired. 00:01:52
The hens and the cow and the sheep got very upset. 00:02:02
They loved the duck. 00:02:06
So they held a meeting under the moon and they made a plan for the morning. 00:02:08
Said the cow. 00:02:15
Said the sheep. 00:02:18
Said the hen. 00:02:22
And that was the plan. 00:02:24
It was just before dawn and the farmyard was still. 00:02:26
Through the back door and into the house crept the cow and the sheep and the hens. 00:02:35
They stole down the hall. 00:02:49
They creaked up the stairs. 00:02:51
They squeezed under the bed of the farmer and wriggled about. 00:02:55
The bed started to rock and the farmer woke up and he called, 00:03:00
How goes the work? 00:03:05
And, 00:03:07
Moo! 00:03:11
Baa! 00:03:13
Quack, quack, quack, quack! 00:03:14
they lifted his bed and he started to shout and they banged and bounced and the old farmer about 00:03:15
and about and about right out of bed and he fled with the cow and the sheep and the hens 00:03:22
moving and buying and clucking around them down the lane 00:03:35
through the fields 00:03:45
over the hill 00:03:48
and he never 00:03:51
came back 00:03:54
the duck awoke 00:03:56
and waddled wearily into the yard 00:04:00
expecting to hear 00:04:02
how goes the work 00:04:03
but nobody spoke 00:04:05
then the cow and the sheep 00:04:07
and the hens came back 00:04:14
quack 00:04:16
asked the duck 00:04:17
moo said the cow 00:04:19
Bah! said the sheep. 00:04:22
Cluck, cluck, cluck! said the hens, which told the duck the whole story. 00:04:25
Then mooing and baying and clucking and quacking, they all set to work on their farm. 00:04:34
Bah! 00:04:43
Quack, quack, quack, quack, quack, quack, quack, moo! 00:04:44
