King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table by Marsha Williams 00:00:00
Long ago, when the forests were still enchanted, a warring king named Uther Pendragon ruled Britain. 00:00:04
When Uther died, many impostors, including his stepdaughter Morgan Le Fay, tried to claim his throne. 00:00:16
So Merlin the magician decided to use his powers to ensure that others' true hair gained the kingdom. 00:00:25
During the Christmas service, Merlin magicked a great stone with a sword set in it. 00:00:36
Whoso pulleth out the sword of this stone is the right wise king for born of all England. 00:00:44
After the service, all the knights and nobles tried to remove the sword, but no one succeeded. 00:00:53
As there were many fine night kings who had not attended the service, messengers were sent to someone them. 00:01:03
A tournament was arranged so this knight could try to draw the sword. 00:01:14
One such knight was Sir Hector, who came with his sons, Sir Kai and Arthur. 00:01:21
It was Sir Kai's first tournament, and in his excitement he had forgotten his sword, 00:01:29
as Arthur offered to return to Ludwig and fetch it. 00:01:38
eat but he found the house locked remember he'd seen a word in a church and 00:01:48
arthur decided to borrow it 00:01:58
without reading the word on the stone he withdrew this word easy 00:02:04
Sir Kay, knowing the significance of this word, told his father that he had withdrawn it himself and so must be rightful king. 00:02:10
Surprised, Sir Hector went to the churchyard, where Arthur replaced this word. 00:02:23
Next year, Sir Hector knows Sir Kay could pull it out again. 00:02:29
Then, in front of a getting crow, Arthur tried. 00:02:34
The sword slid smoothly from the stone. 00:02:41
The hours drove all onlookers filled to their knees. 00:02:44
Then Sir Hector told Arthur that he was really King Arthur soon. 00:02:50
Brought to him sixteen years ago by Merlin to warn Arthur and keep safe. 00:02:55
Although Arthur was only 16 years old, everyone cheered for him to be king. 00:03:01
So in preparation he was first dubbed a knight. 00:03:08
Then the following week a grand coronation took place and all who stood for justice paid 00:03:12
homage to the Arthur Pendragon, the wreathful king. 00:03:19
King Arthur made his call at Camelot Island, a day before Merlin reigned over a peaceful and prosperous land. 00:03:25
Arthur was as brave as any knight, always ready to risk his life for justice. 00:03:36
When King Arthur heard that Sir Pelennor was attaching travellers on the road to Camelot he hid his identity behind a visor and galloped off. 00:03:46
Arthur changed Sir Pelennor to give up his simple weight or stand and fight. 00:04:06
Arrogant Sir Pelennor just laughed, changing his unknown adversary. 00:04:17
The two men struck each other so fiercely that both fell from their horses. 00:04:26
They fought hand to hand their sword clashing until Arthur's sword broke. 00:04:33
Knocking Arthur in the ground, Sir Eleanor raised his sword to the stripe of his head. 00:04:41
Just in time, Merlin the magician appeared. He told the king, brought the machine, making the king fall down in a trance. Merlin helped a better Arthur onto his horse. The king was now met with the loss of the sword he had drawn from the stone. 00:04:50
Mary told him not to worry, as that sword had served its purpose. 00:05:20
They were now on their way to fetch a final sword, called Excalibur. 00:05:29
Cast it on the mystical eyes of Avalon. 00:05:35
The pair rode on until they came to a lake. 00:05:40
Out of the lake rose an arm-closet in the wind-silk, and hurled aloft the sword Excalibur in a glitter-girly scabbard. 00:05:44
In the front, the mistress deferred the lady of the lake, she took Arthur's hand and held him into a boat, with glee, as if enchanted towards the sword. 00:06:01
As King Arthur grasped the sword, the Lady of the Lake mysteriously vanished. 00:06:20
Returning to the bank, Arthur showed Excalibur to Merlin, who told him that 00:06:27
although the sword would never break, it was discovered he should treasure. 00:06:33
For while he had it at his slight, not a drop of his blood would be shed. 00:06:40
Then Arthur and Merlin went home to Camelot, where everyone rejoiced at the sea return to the brave king. 00:06:49
