This learning situation, entitled Necessities and Mother of Invention, has been designed for a heterogeneous group of 26 students in 1st of Baccalaureate.

As the group is taking economics, this learning situation will serve as an interdisciplinary unit.

In order to cater to the different learning rhythms and those students who have learning difficulties, the three principles of the UDR have been applied, and a learning corner with additional materials will also be posted on the virtual classroom.

Active methodology, such as project-based learning, will be used as the final outcome of this learning situation will be in the form of a project,

consisting in pitching an idea for which students will have to come up with an idea for a product or service that fulfills a specific need

and create a business pitch and deliver it to the rest of the class.

These will act as potential investors and rate on a scale of 1 to 5 how beneficial they think the product will be.

Students will therefore be assessed by each other and continuous observation will also be carried out.

As communication and persuasion are key to this project, students will be evaluated by means of a rubric assessing oral communication.
