Hello everyone. In this video, we're going to look at how to make questions in the passive tense. 00:00:00
Now, remember, we use the passive when we don't know or we don't want to say who did the action. 00:00:08
Or maybe the object of the sentence is more important than the subject, the person who did the action. 00:00:16
Okay, when we want to make a question, we need to change the order of the verb to be. 00:00:24
So, for example, is it made in Spain? Is it made in Spain? 00:00:32
Now, in this sentence, there's no subject. 00:00:39
We're not saying who made it, just is it made in Spain? 00:00:41
Are the students helped by the teachers? 00:00:47
Are the students helped by the teachers? 00:00:50
Is rice grown in China? 00:00:53
Is flour used to make pasta? 00:01:01
All of these are questions using the passive. 00:01:08
So remember, we just change the order of the verb to be. 00:01:13
