I've been cooking up a storm since I've been, 00:00:06

So today I wanna share with you 00:00:15
one of my favorite breakfast dishes from America, pancakes. 00:00:16
So wash your hands for 20 seconds and let's get started. 00:00:20
Oh, hey there, didn't see ya. 00:00:24
Just washing my hands. 00:00:26
All right, have you washed your hands? 00:00:28
Good, let's get started. 00:00:30
What are the ingredients for these pancakes? 00:00:31
Well, first thing we need, 00:00:34
225 grams of all-purpose flour 00:00:36
with a pinch of salt. 00:00:41
Then we need two large eggs, huevos, two eggs. 00:00:43
After that, we need 30 grams of butter, okay? 00:00:49
Then one teaspoon of sugar. 00:00:54
Asucar, you know what I'm saying? 00:00:58
Cool. 00:01:00
And after that, two and a half teaspoons of baking powder, 00:01:01
also known as levadura in polvo. 00:01:06
And finally, we're going to need 300 milliliters of milk. 00:01:10
You can use regular milk. 00:01:16
I'm using oat milk because I'm a bit weird. 00:01:18
Now that we have all of our ingredients, let's start mixing. 00:01:21
First thing we're going to do 00:01:24
is mix all of the dry ingredients. 00:01:26
So that includes the sugar, the baking powder, 00:01:29
and the flour that has a little bit of salt in it. 00:01:33
So, here's the sugar, add it to the flour. 00:01:36
Here's the baking powder, add it to the flour and sugar. 00:01:40
Okay, then we're gonna take our trusty whisk. 00:01:45
Yes, this tool, this utensil, we call it a whisk. 00:01:48
We're gonna take it and we're gonna mix it up. 00:01:52
Now we're going to take this bowl of butter and put it in the microwave for 15-20 seconds 00:01:56
until you notice it starts to melt. 00:02:06
It gets really soft and it turns into a liquid. 00:02:08
Now we wait. 00:02:15
Give it a little mix around like that. 00:02:16
You mix it around the warm liquid, it starts to melt on its own. 00:02:22
Okay, so your butter is melted. 00:02:25
We're going to let that cool down for just a little bit. 00:02:27
While we wait for that to cool, 00:02:31
we're gonna create a little well, okay? 00:02:33
A potho, I think you say. 00:02:36
A well, all right? 00:02:38
And in this well, we're gonna put the eggs, 00:02:39
we're gonna put the butter, 00:02:42
and we're going to put the milk, okay? 00:02:43
So, first things first, milk. 00:02:45
300 milliliters of milk into the bowl. 00:02:50
Then some melted butter into the bowl as well. 00:02:55
And now the fun part, the eggs. 00:02:59
Crack the eggs, put them in. 00:03:02
If you can do it with one hand, try it with one hand. 00:03:06
If you can't, like me, do it with two hands. 00:03:10
It's safer, no eggshells. 00:03:13
Now we take our whisk, remember this tool, the whisk, 00:03:16
and we start to mix it all together 00:03:20
until it starts to get nice and soft. 00:03:21
All right, now we're ready to start cooking. 00:03:36
We're gonna need a pan, hence pancakes, a cake in a pan. 00:03:39
We're gonna take some butter and add it to the pan. 00:03:44
Make sure it's a little hot already. 00:03:46
You can feel the heat coming off of it. 00:03:48
Okay, our butter is very hot, 00:03:50
so we're ready to include the batter 00:03:53
from the pancake into the pan. 00:03:55
So you take a nice big spoon or a ladle, 00:03:57
something that can get a lot of batter at once. 00:04:00
We're going to add it in, just like that. 00:04:03
think maybe one and a half scoops and then you sit and wait until the top part 00:04:06
of the pancake starts to bubble. We see the edges are starting to get bubbly and 00:04:14
the center is starting to form holes and get bubbly so now it's time to flip it. 00:04:21
You can use a spatula or you can be a little silly and try it like this. Oh 00:04:25
there we go. If you want to be fun with it you can try it like that. So our 00:04:31
pancake has been sitting in the pan for about one minute. It's got a beautiful 00:04:37
golden brown color on top. I think it's ready to be served. Let's do the next one. 00:04:40
Okay, I'm going to add a little bit of butter into the pan, just a little bit, 00:04:46
not a lot. That, it should heat up nice and quick. See that sizzle? That's beautiful. 00:04:51
That is gorgeous. Here we go. So we're gonna add our batter to the center. We'll do 00:04:58
another one on top of it okay we're gonna let that cook so you see that 00:05:06
there's these little bubbles inside the center there okay and the outside is 00:05:14
getting very crispy so now it's time to flip you want to use your spatula what 00:05:18
you want to do is shake it down a little bit get some space here and then scoop 00:05:24
under it and then flip let it cook on the other side just like that so we're 00:05:29
going to keep on cooking the batter until we have no more batter left, all right? 00:05:36
Okay, you have here a giant stack of beautiful, golden, delicious pancakes. So you can either eat 00:06:42
them right now as they are, or you can add stuff to the top, things that you like. Blueberries, 00:06:51
bananas, chocolate, whatever you like. I'm gonna add some honey or miel. Yeah, you know, drizzle 00:06:56
over the top, a nice sweet base, and then just a tiny bit of cacao powder to give 00:07:04
a little bit of a chocolatey flavor. And take a knife, a fork, cut into it, and 00:07:14
