The Romans occupied the Iberian Peninsula bringing their love, language, religion, culture and civil architecture, bridges, roads and aqueducts. 00:00:01
In 411 A.D., the Roman Empire was weakened and the free Germanic tribes arrived to the 00:00:22
peninsula and conquered different zones. 00:00:38
As Romans weren't powerful enough to defeat these Germanic tribes, they asked for help 00:00:47
to the Visigoths, who arrived in 415. They called the fifth vandals Amalanni, but the Suebi 00:00:54
stayed on the north. With Visigoths, Toledo became the capital of their kingdom. They declared their 00:01:08
Kingdom independence for the Romans. In 586, they left Sweden and Spain. They out and controlled 00:01:18
the whole territory. In 711, the Muslims of the north of Africa arrived at the peninsula 00:01:30
defeat the Visigoths in the famous battle of Guadalete. In 10 years, Muslims had invaded 00:01:41
the whole territory and called it Al-Andalus. That was the end of the Visigoth kingdom. 00:01:48
