So, in this video, we're going to talk about present perfect, the present perfect tense. 00:00:01
So, what is that for? 00:00:08
Well, we use it when we want to talk about experiences, to say things that we have done at some time in our life. 00:00:09
But we don't say when we did it. 00:00:19
So, how do we make the present perfect? 00:00:23
Well, we need the subject, the person who did the action, I or you or he. 00:00:25
And then we need have or has. 00:00:32
And then the participle of the verb. 00:00:36
The participle, remember, is the third column. 00:00:39
If it's irregular, you have to look in your list. 00:00:44
And if it's irregular, it ends in ed. 00:00:48
So let's just repeat how we say it. 00:00:52
I have, you have, he has, she has, it has, we have, you have, they have. 00:00:55
And then you need the participle of the verb. 00:01:10
So, for example, I have visited France. 00:01:14
I have visited France. 00:01:18
We have seen a lion. 00:01:21
He has eaten sushi. 00:01:22
They have done many exams. 00:01:28
She has played basketball. 00:01:32
And all of these sentences are talking about experiences, things that we have done. 00:01:36
