Some games share an easy way of creating a drag-and-drop activity in the Virtue Classroom.
00:00:00
This is the type of activity where you have students label any type of picture with different words.
00:00:06
It's a type of activity that we all use in the classroom to introduce or revise vocabulary
00:00:14
related to any area and it's a kind of a cool activity for the Virtue Classroom. I've just learned how to do it.
00:00:22
I'm excited about it perhaps you all know how to do that you've been doing it
00:00:28
for a long time but you know I wanted to share just in case so we'll go to add an
00:00:33
activity or resource we're going to click on quiz and add now my activity is
00:00:39
going to be about straight vocabulary so this is going to be called straight to
00:00:51
that office okay so we just need a name here then save and display and we're
00:00:56
going to edit the quiz we click on here and then click on ads as a new question
00:01:07
after this we want to choose drag-and-drop onto image and click on
00:01:14
out. Now we need a question name so mine is going to be for this
00:01:23
activity Strict1 and then here you would write the instructions for the
00:01:31
students. So read the words and drag them into the right place.
00:01:36
Whatever instructions. After this you want to go back, you want to go down
00:01:43
sorry and choose the picture that you're going to be working on so choose a file
00:01:51
called this one here you upload the file and here you have the image you're going
00:01:56
to be working on I guess the most difficult thing about these activities
00:02:05
is actually finding the right picture right alright so once we've got the
00:02:11
picture we're going to write the words that we want the students to drag and
00:02:16
drop again and these are the draggable items down here so we click here now by
00:02:21
default the the different items we've got item 1 item 2 the the type of
00:02:27
draggable item is an image alright so you want to change this into text
00:02:35
draggable text right so and then you write the text down here so for instance
00:02:40
my students are going to revise what a roundabout is. For item 2, again I
00:02:45
choose draggable text and pedestrian crossing. And again you can keep on
00:02:53
including, adding any other words, pavement or sidewalk. So those would be
00:03:04
three items but as I say you can keep adding items right if you need more than
00:03:14
six you can click on here and and you can get even more now once we've got the
00:03:21
draggable items we're going to click on drop zones and here we're just going to
00:03:27
select the different words okay so the drop zone one we've got roundabouts
00:03:34
pedestrian crossing and pavement or sidewalk okay and the rest let's see
00:03:39
where where it's placed so we're just going to click on save changes and
00:03:46
continue editing we're going to go to the picture and we're going to do it
00:03:53
ourselves okay so this would be the pavement sidewalk pedestrian crossing
00:04:00
and roundabouts all right we go down and we click on save changes and continue
00:04:04
editing all right now when we have this we want to go back to the drop zones we
00:04:15
can all have decimals here all right so you just need to do this and it should
00:04:24
work now. It's the only thing that you need to fix. And now we have it.
00:04:31
You can click on save changes or preview and here you go.
00:04:38
So students would be once again dragging the different words into the
00:04:46
different places.
