Students Around the World is an activity designed for first-year students. In this class there are

20 students in groups of five students. For their students there will be written instructions. The

main objective is to use different sources to understand the way people study in different

countries and the final product will be a poster showing similarities and differences between these

students and themselves. There will be five sessions. In the first session students will learn

vocabulary and grammatical structures to help them talk about routines. That will be used in the

second session through different stations and activities. In the third session, students will

work in collaborative groups and they will read extracts about the different schools around the
00:00:34
world and they will have a model description. In the fourth session, they will use all this

information to compare these routines with their own and they will create the poster that will be

shown in the fifth session to the rest of the class. The material needed will be laptops and

students' notebooks and the teacher will assess students by means of the rubric. Thank you.
