The objective of this lesson will be for students to become familiar with the format of the Cambridge 00:00:00
speaking exam, which they will be taking in the third term of the fourth of ESO year. However, 00:00:04
in the first term, i.e. sometime towards the second week of September, they will need to 00:00:12
become familiar with the format of the exam. So, in the first part of the lesson, the teacher will 00:00:16
actually spend time explaining the format of the exam and linking the different parts of the exam 00:00:22
to real-life situations, such as job interviews and workplace-related environments where collaboration 00:00:28
and cooperation are necessary. We will also mention scoring. In the second part of the lesson, 00:00:36
students will take part in a speed dating type activity where they will be arranged along a row 00:00:43
of desks and spend two minutes speaking to each other. After the two-minute alarm rings, then one 00:00:50
them will move down and then they will spend another two minutes speaking to a person. 00:00:58
At the end of the session they will fill out a form which they will then hand in to the teacher 00:01:03
who will decide who might be the best fit for them to be their speaking partner. 00:01:08
