Hello, I am Jonathan and I am Madalina and we are here to talk about a unique celebrity in Spain. 00:00:00
We are here to talk about the Fallas de Valencia, a unique celebrity in Spain, which today we are going to 00:00:06
tell you a little more about it. Valencia is a coastal community of Spain, famous for its 00:00:12
community of arts and sciences, its beaches, its paellas and especially its Fallas. Fallas de Valencia 00:00:18
came from the tradition of carpenters since they burned remains of wood that they found 00:00:26
on the street celebrating in San José. Over time they created satirical figures of cardboard and 00:00:30
match paper and burned them as a symbol of purification and welcome to spring. 00:00:35
Since 2016, the Fallas are a heritage of humanity. The most prominent parts of the monument 00:00:39
in this celebration are the great satirical figures made of cardboard, 00:00:45
Now that we more or less know its history, we are going to continue teaching how we can visit it. 00:01:54
The Falles de Valencia are held mainly in the center of the city, 00:02:00
mainly in districts such as El Casco Antiguo, Ruzzafa, El Carmen and La Seul. 00:02:04
The Fallera commissions install these large figures in squares and streets, creating a 00:02:11
tour of the entire city so that visitors can visit it and enjoy 00:02:18
much more the most visited and best known area is the historical center but the failures 00:02:24
are also found in many more neighborhoods in valencia the days that are celebrated are from 00:02:32
15 to 19 of March during those days there are a series of events on March 15 the creed marks an 00:02:37
an official start of the failures an act where the major failure of the party invites everyone to 00:02:47
enjoy the party from March 16 to 18 during these days we can see the failures exposed 00:02:54
throughout the streets and many events are celebrated such as the mascleta which is at 2 in the afternoon 00:03:02
afternoon or pyrotechnic shows and concerts on March 19 is the most important day with the 00:03:09
floral offering to the virgin of the helpless then the last masquerade is made at noon 00:03:18
and at night the cream where all the failures are burned the key hours of the celebration are 00:03:25
basically in the afternoon and at night, although there are still activities throughout the day, 00:03:32
especially with the mask and the cream. Visit Las Fallas and you will be able to see one of the 00:03:39
most beautiful and special editions in the world. Thank you for paying attention to us and 00:03:45
we recommend that you come. Las Fallas are waiting for you, you will not regret it. 00:03:51
