Hello everyone! We are students in year 5 of primary education in the 00:00:00

Everador Carlos Kinder School. We want to show you our school. This is the school garden. 00:00:08

Here we plant fruits and vegetables like tomatoes and strawberries. This is the computer classroom. 00:00:14

Here we have several computers, some laptops and a few tablets. We come here to write documents 00:00:22

documents, prepare presentations, send emails and also make 3D objects like key rings. 00:00:29

This is one of the two playgrounds where infants come at recess. 00:00:42

In tours we come here to play with the little kids and to help looking after them. 00:00:47

This is the gym, it's my favourite place. 00:00:54

Here we play different sports during the physical education classes. 00:00:57

We belong to a green patchwork. We have to make sure that everyone keeps the playground clean. 00:01:02

We have different colored wheels and wheels to make sure that all the rubbish is thrown in the correct place. 00:01:08

Our school is located in Jotafe, a city in the south of Madrid. 00:01:13

In Jotafe we have the Hills of the Angels. This place is the geographic center of the Iberian Peninsula. 00:01:18

People come here to do exercise and to have barbeque. 00:01:24

In Getafe you can also find the Charles III University. 00:01:28

It is right opposite our school. 00:01:32

It is one of the best universities in Europe. 00:01:34

In the past, some of these buildings were the barracks of the army. 00:01:37

Another important place in our city is the Military Air Base. 00:01:41

It is one of the first military air bases in Spain. 00:01:45

In Getafe there are lots of bronze statues like this. We can find it in some of the cities, streets and avenues. 00:01:51

They are the same size as the people and they live in a green city so we have kilometers of bike lanes like this one. 00:02:01

Here we can ride a bike or skate with our friends and family. 00:02:14

For me, being a global scholar is having an opportunity to learn new things of other cities and new cultures in Madrid. 00:02:21

It is also an opportunity to meet other people and a new way to practice more English. 00:02:29

We can meet new friends and talk to them online. 00:02:34

It is a different way of learning, not only a second learning, but also about the other experiences and ideas. 00:02:37
