Today we are going to classify plants. We are going to learn the two main groups.

As you can see in this table, there are two main groups, seed plants and non-seed plants.

When talking about seed plants, we are talking about plants like the apple that has got seeds inside,

or, for instance, in this case, a pineapple.

Those pinecones, we have seeds inside, so we divide them into two main groups.

angiosperms, like the apple, that are able to produce flowers and fruits, and gymnosperms

that are not able to produce flowers or fruits although they also have seeds.

The other main group is non-seed plants. We have ferns, and as you can see in the image,

which we can describe them as large leaves that we call fronds, and mosses.

Mosses live in humid and shady places.

They have stems, like these tiny stems that you can see, and leaves on the top.

Their spores are inside of a capsule at the end of long filament.
