This is year for a group and this is the science lesson. 00:01:14
It's fun! 00:01:18
We are going to build a clay volcano today. 00:01:23
Yuli, what do we need to build a clay volcano? 00:01:29
Oh Paola, that's very easy. 00:01:34
Look at this. 00:01:38
We need a plastic board, we need three packets of clay, we need a rolling pin, and we need a jam jar. 00:01:40
First, we take a small piece of clay and we roll it out, covering the plastic board. 00:02:02
Then we take the jam jar and we place it in the middle of the bowl. 00:02:09
We take a piece of clay and we roll it into a sausage shape. 00:02:24
We just start moving around the jam jar, pressing the clay with our fingers. 00:02:28
When we go home we leave the volcano adding more clay. 00:02:58
We will need around three packets of clay to do the volcano. 00:03:02
I like working with clay. 00:04:25
Me too. 00:04:27
We make some lava with pieces of clay. 00:04:29
We roll it out and add it to the top of the volcano. 00:05:11
We push it down to the bottom. 00:05:16
We leave the volcano to dry for three days. 00:05:24
We paint the volcano. We put some red on the top and some red on the bottom. 00:05:32
We leave it to dry for two hours. 00:05:47
And now for the fun part, we are going to make the volcano rocks. 00:05:51
So we add two or three drops of yellow and red food colouring, perfect, very good. 00:06:32
Very good David. 00:07:17
David is putting a lot of effort into it, okay, very good. 00:07:18
And what do we do next? 00:07:23
Okay. Very good. Nicholas is adding some teaspoons of baking soda. All right. And let's see what happens. Yeah. So it is Nicholas the one placing the baking soda inside. Wow. 00:07:31
oh look at that guys yeah oh yes that's great guys fantastic I do apologize 00:07:58
because it was Ruben the one adding the food coloring to the volcano instead of 00:08:12
David I'm sorry guys okay let's see what happens now all right so is it our two 00:08:20
liters yeah all right let's see what happens then 00:08:40
