Today we are going to be starting a new project in which you are going to create your own world. 00:00:00
So I want you to start by finding the coordinates of your world. Remember it can be located 00:00:07
anywhere. So play around on Google Earth and figure out the coordinates of where exactly 00:00:12
your world is located. Then the next thing I want you to do is think about what type of world you 00:00:18
want. It can be underwater. It can be tiny. It can be like in an ant mound. We had some students 00:00:27
last year who created a world within a drop of honey. So be creative. There are no limits of 00:00:34
what type of world you can create. You can have a world on an iceberg, a purple world, whatever you 00:00:41
want to do okay so now we have to think about how this world was created how did it how was it 00:00:53
created um so you have to think about the settlement the colonization um the end of the 00:01:03
world into a new world so think about our world there used to be dinosaurs and then a meteor hit 00:01:09
and killed all the dinosaurs and then that started kind of a new type of world with 00:01:16
new settlement and colonization where humans were kind of the leaders instead of the dinosaurs 00:01:23
so think again of this how is your world created um did it come out of an old world how was the 00:01:30
old world destroyed um and there are a lot of different examples in hollywood that you can look 00:01:38
at. A new world order, don't look up WALL-E. WALL-E is a great example because it's the whole 00:01:51
end of the old world into a new world in the plane. Okay, a big important thing of your world 00:02:02
is the social organization. You have to think about how your world is governed. Who will be 00:02:11
your leaders? How many leaders will you have? Who establishes the laws? What kind of government do 00:02:19
you have. There's so many different types of governments, and you can create your own type 00:02:26
of government. I know some students are creating a type of government based on morality and a 00:02:31
hierarchy, so you can be as creative as you want, but there are many different types of government. 00:02:38
Here are the traditional ones you can definitely use, or again, create your own. We had some 00:02:45
students last year who made Selena Gomez the queen and Dwayne the Rock Johnson the king so 00:02:53
you can even use celebrities again more types of government you can do it in a hierarchy another 00:03:01
example is with Hunger Games with the different districts are in different hierarchies based on 00:03:14
what type of work you do and some more examples are Maze Runner and Divergent all different 00:03:21
forms of government. Okay, so after you create your type of world in the social organization, 00:03:35
you have to think about the ecosystem. You have to have the abiotic and the biotic 00:03:44
factors in your world. So the abiotic is what kind of physical objects do you have in your world? 00:03:50
Is your world snowy? Does it have lots of mountains? Does it have rivers? Does it have 00:03:59
new types of abiotic features like i don't know giant mushrooms or biotic relates to about life 00:04:05
on earth so flora and fauna so um be creative you can create new forms of biotic factors in your 00:04:16
world different types of animals is there a national animal what types of food do the 00:04:25
citizens eat are the citizens in your world human they don't have to be human 00:04:39
so yeah definitely things to take into account how do they maintain life on the earth you need 00:04:44
sustenance in order to maintain life so that's where fauna and flora comes in does your world 00:04:53
have environmental issues like our world and there's all different kinds of fauna and you can 00:05:00
even do hybrid animals like you could do a monkey cat is on your world or maybe there's dinosaurs 00:05:11
still on your world and you have to think about the physical geography the climate is it really 00:05:18
hot is there lava is it really cold you have to think about the human geography also are there 00:05:30
humans in your world if so where are they living how are there different cultures is it one culture 00:05:38
and another thing to think about with human geography is do you have roads houses where 00:05:45
do people live what types of structures do they create to keep themselves safe from environmental 00:06:02
factors okay and then also let's add some culture into your world what is the national sport you 00:06:10
can choose one that already exists or you can create a new one occupations how do people or 00:06:25
how do the citizens make a living in your world what are the main occupations 00:06:35
think about in spain what are the main occupations in spain i know tourism is a big one 00:06:42
think about religion are there different religions in your world are there multiple gods 00:06:49
are gods alive on your world or yeah just be creative and then finally I want you to create 00:07:00
a flag that represents your world and has some sort of symbol maybe you're an animal that's in 00:07:17
your world or a flower or something but something that relates to your world and then create some 00:07:25
different celebrations maybe connected with the independence day of your world or different 00:07:36
holidays or weird things that they do to celebrate and remember to include the date and also how 00:07:44
your citizens celebrate this holiday and have fun with it that's all 00:07:51
