A long time ago, in an unknown place on planet Earth, or elsewhere, there was a man.
00:00:02
A young man who loved drawing and doing weightlifting.
00:00:08
A man who hated rainbows and loved storms.
00:00:11
A normal man.
00:00:15
But there was something about him that was not normal at all.
00:00:16
He had a secret.
00:00:20
A secret that he kept in a box.
00:00:22
He had never opened it and he promised he would never open it.
00:00:24
No one had ever opened it.
00:00:28
But someone would.
00:00:29
and sooner than he thought.
00:00:31
His name was Stanley.
00:00:33
He lived in a dimension where time does not run,
00:00:35
so clocks were useless.
00:00:37
Out of nowhere a rat appeared and
00:00:39
stole the box. The man
00:00:41
started chasing it for a long time.
00:00:43
Stanley was now in snowy mountain.
00:00:45
How did I get here?
00:00:47
Stanley thought. He chased the rat
00:00:49
footprints until he saw a fountain.
00:00:51
Suddenly a loud fairy
00:00:53
came out of the fountain. Stanley
00:00:55
told her about the rat that had
00:00:57
of his box. The fairy gave him a pair of handcuffs. What should I do with this? asked Stanley.
00:00:59
The fairy disappeared and left him alone, so Stanley kept on walking. As he progressed,
00:01:06
he started to notice a strange sound, as if he were in the middle of a construction site.
00:01:11
He looked left and then right. Nothing. Only noises. Then something weird fell on his head.
00:01:18
It was a small, well-polished rock. He looked up and found a whole town upside down on a cobweb.
00:01:26
Stanley once drank a lot of poison for rats because he was bored in the house of his friend, Joseph Jonathan, or JJ.
00:01:35
He was sick and was nursed in a hospital. His personal doctor was a blind spider with a cane.
00:01:42
While he was lying on his bed, the spider decided to tell him a story about an upside-down city.
00:01:50
Stanley thought that it was just a stupid old tale, but now he understood.
00:01:58
He did not really care, so he just continued walking.
00:02:04
As he was going past the city, he heard kids playing, fire burning, and footsteps.
00:02:07
Small footsteps that he still remembered from the past five minutes.
00:02:14
He rushed into the town, ran across the streets, and finally he found the rat.
00:02:19
The rat was scared and he tried to run away.
00:02:26
Stanley is a smart man, so he shot the rat.
00:02:29
The rat tried to persuade Stanley to spare its worthless life because love and compassion will help him in the future.
00:02:33
The rat was in fact a fortune teller.
00:02:42
Stanley is a good guy, so he let the rat go.
00:02:45
As the rat was crossing the border of the city, Stanley shot it with a sniper rifle,
00:02:49
and he went home with the box.
00:02:54
Right as he was about to enter his house, Stanley was knocked unconscious.
00:02:58
When he woke up, the rat was looking at him.
00:03:02
You fool! I'm a fortune teller! Did you really think I did not know what you were going to do?
00:03:05
Anyway, I will not proceed to open this box, and you will not be able to do anything about it.
00:03:10
The rat opened the box, and everything turned pitch black.
00:03:16
After what would have been hours, Light returned to the world, but now Stanley was alone.
00:03:21
He stood up and looked around for any signs of the rat, but they were unknown.
00:03:26
He did notice something.
00:03:30
The weird rectangle with an L inside it, that his grandfather had given him when he was little, started moving.
00:03:31
him, though only one of the parts of the L was. He then remembered that his grandfather
00:03:38
told him it was called a clock. While he was thinking what on earth was happening, a weirdly
00:03:43
dressed man started saying something to him. You, the one with the weird thinking face,
00:03:49
you are arrested. Stanley looked at him with a confused look and then continued thinking,
00:03:54
but he was assaulted by the man who handcuffed him and put him in a car. He was prosecuted
00:04:00
and accused of biological experiments with humans, but before they could put him in prison,
00:04:05
he tried to run away. He lost them easily, but he tripped and fell into a hole. Thankfully,
00:04:10
he only hurt his hand, specifically his thumb, which he for some reason used to absorb the fall.
00:04:17
The hole he fell in was some kind of cave, which had a strange symbol on one of its walls.
00:04:24
It was dark, and he could not see well. Stanley noticed small footprints all over the walls and the floor of the cave. They were rat footprints. He started walking. The cave looked endless. He was about to give up and sit to rest when he had water.
00:04:29
He started running to see where it came from. He noticed the path was wet.
00:04:47
He could not believe his eyes when he saw the fountain where the love fairy had given him the handcuffs.
00:04:56
But instead of finding the love fairy there, he found the shadow.
00:05:01
The shadow had a scale. It was weighing something shiny.
00:05:06
Stanley got closer, but the shadow raised its hand and said
00:05:09
Stop, inferior human being
00:05:15
If you walk past this line, you'll never see the sunshine again
00:05:18
Stanley noticed the line drawn on the floor
00:05:22
Ignored the shadow and kept walking
00:05:26
Don't say I didn't warn you
00:05:28
Stanley saw what the shadow was weighing
00:05:31
Wings
00:05:34
Cold sweat started to run down his back
00:05:35
The shadow had a microscope, too. There was a little spark under the lens. He kept walking, and when he crossed the line, nothing happened, so he kept walking.
00:05:39
After some time, he saw a human corpse. It was a prisoner's dead body. He saw a rat eating it,
00:05:53
and a card on the floor. Sometime in the past, it had had text, but now it was erased,
00:06:00
and only little ink spots were visible. The poor illumination did not help. Stanley kept walking
00:06:08
while looking at the card to see if there was something that could give him a clue about where
00:06:16
path would get him but he did not see the stairs right in front of him so he fell down and was
00:06:21
knocked unconscious it was a pitch black room with no furniture or lights at the very end stanley
00:06:28
could see a faint glow as he entered the room a drop of sweat went on his face the distance between
00:06:34
stanley and the mysterious shining was getting shorter nearly halfway through stanley felt as
00:06:40
the room was shrinking. Seconds felt like minutes, even hours. It was driving him insane. He was so
00:06:46
focused in his thoughts that he didn't even notice a giant wall of light sticking in his face.
00:06:53
He backed down a couple of steps to observe the whole thing. The wall turned out to be a massive
00:06:58
device with the shape of an upside-down hammer. It had pipes and cables connected to the handle,
00:07:03
supporting it. Steam was coming out from the head of the large tool. Suddenly, a raspy voice started
00:07:08
talking what's your offering what what you're offering give it to me what offering what is
00:07:15
this place what are you well i have to give you anything at all what one question at a time please
00:07:23
okay then what are you a machine where are we in a black room could you be more specific
00:07:29
No.
00:07:37
Okay.
00:07:38
This is awkward.
00:07:41
Are you done with your questions?
00:07:43
Oh, oh, right.
00:07:44
What offering are you talking about and why should I give it to you?
00:07:47
An offering.
00:07:51
Something that you chase from the bottom of your heart.
00:07:52
Something unique.
00:07:54
And why should you give it to me?
00:07:56
Well, you get an answer to a question of equal value.
00:07:57
I see.
00:08:00
Then, take this.
00:08:01
Oh, my.
00:08:03
Is this a tennis ball?
00:08:04
Yes.
00:08:07
why do you carry a tennis ball in your pocket reasons very well let me take a
00:08:07
look at your soul you're quite a character am i yes indeed your normal
00:08:14
childhood normal friends normal life and yet and yet what your fate it's a
00:08:21
stanchion go on go to the place where it all began the place where you were born
00:08:27
there lies the answer to your doubts. As Stanley was walking back to his house,
00:08:33
he started wondering about the hammer's words. Were they really true? Did it lie?
00:08:40
What was the hammer? Was it an AI? What was the rat? What's the deal with the
00:08:44
handcuffs? So many questions, silly answers. When Stanley entered the garden
00:08:50
of his house, he noticed something strange. There was a trail of small
00:08:55
footprints, as if a very small animal had been walking in circles. He stopped in
00:08:59
middle of the lawn he stood there for a second before dodging a set of small knives thrown at him
00:09:03
he looked up and there it was standing on a tree the root of all his problems the rat
00:09:10
hi stanley you you see i thought a lot about our tiny conflict and decided to without wasting a
00:09:17
second stanley jumped and while floating in mid air pulled out his gun the rat since the murderous
00:09:25
intent sprang, thrusting his feet violently at Stanley, as if trying to scratch him. Stanley
00:09:31
shot four bullets, his enemy counter-attacked by deflecting all of them with a magical spell.
00:09:37
This, however, backfired. The bullets that were supposed to hit the target ricocheted off of each
00:09:43
other, and one managed to hit the foe. The rat dropped on the ground, screeching in pain.
00:09:49
Stanley gently landed on the grass and slowly approached the wounded animal.
00:09:55
this this is not how I imagined my end you did it you won but please let me
00:09:59
live I will never bother you again I swear by my name
00:10:09
begged the rat the rat started transforming again but this time instead
00:10:13
of an old man it mutated into a kid you wouldn't hit a child would you
00:10:20
Stanley hid the child, but it did not end there.
00:10:26
Stanley also mocked him, reasoning his behavior a smaller compensation.
00:10:29
Eventually, everything went back to normal.
00:10:34
Stanley now as a father of two children lived a happy life with his loved ones.
00:10:38
He fell off a cliff at the age of 32 and died.
