This is the design of the project that we are going to build in this course. 00:00:00
It is a very classic project for second official because in it you can mix some mechanism and some structures 00:00:10
and then before or next we can add an engine and we can add an Arduino board and we can create a project different or we can extend the project. 00:00:22
But in this case this is the first idea because then when we study 3D printing in the next unit, 00:00:39
we are going to repeat this project but just using the 3D printer. 00:00:53
So it's complicated, this is going to be the first part of the project. 00:01:01
In any design we have different documents. First of all we have the memory, then the planning with a list of materials and tools, 00:01:11
a budget and the most important at the beginning which is the sketches and the parts. 00:01:24
We are going to do a wheel. Everybody knows what is a wheel. 00:01:36
So indeed it consists in two parts that join with small sticks and holding from the sticks we have some swings 00:01:41
and all the other things are supporting with something that can be the structure stable. 00:01:54
So we need very probably also something that we are going to use as base, that it is not included in the project, 00:02:04
but obviously as a logic thing we must add it at the end in order to increase the stability of the structure. 00:02:15
As always, we must mark all the parts of the project, then hone and cut them with different materials. 00:02:26
We are going to mix and combine some materials as a foam board that is usually used in different technological work 00:02:41
with plywood that I think maybe you have already used in the past course and cardboard mainly to create the swings. 00:02:56
When we have marked the different parts with the ruler and the pencil, we must hone and cut them. 00:03:14
Obviously, the foam board with a cutter, the plywood with a saw and the cardboard with a scissor. 00:03:23
Then we need to do some drills and holes using drills and it is also important because for example for the foam board 00:03:34
we usually use an awl or something similar because sometimes it can be dangerous. 00:03:46
And for the plywood obviously drills. 00:03:52
We must adjust using some paper and files and finally we must join. 00:03:57
The way we must join it depends, but from my point of view we must join first of all the two parts of the wheels with small sticks 00:04:03
and then when we have joined this, we must join the axis of the wheel. 00:04:16
Finally, the own part with the two parts of the wheels and the axis must be joined to the support 00:04:25
and obviously the support to the base that is in the project. 00:04:37
Finally, you can hold the swings. 00:04:42
To do the swings we can use cardboard and just blend in and paste with glue this one. 00:04:46
So maybe using wires you can hold the small swings to the wheel and that's all. 00:04:59
Finally, you can paint and so on. 00:05:09

This is the part more or less because indeed I don't know exactly the prices of the materials 00:05:32
but I think it's a good idea if I included the work force and the tool wear. 00:05:43

because taking into consideration that two euros is about for the wear of the tools and the work force. 00:05:57
