Good afternoon. The objective of this video tutorial is to show you how to access your 00:00:00
virtual classrooms. The first thing to know is how to find the site. So the first option 00:00:05
is to do a Google search. You can type Gongora Loeches in the search bar and the first thing 00:00:13
that appears is the web page for our school. If you open it and then here on the top we have a tab 00:00:24
for Aula Virtual. So then click on it and this will appear. Now the second option is to search 00:00:39
on Google for Luis Gongora in Torrejón. The first result is for the school and we click on it 00:00:49
and then here on the right we can find a small icon for Educa Madrid and then if we click on 00:01:00
that we'll be taken to the online classroom the virtual for the Torajon campus but there's another 00:01:07
possibility so we can write the URL directly into the search bar for either school so here you have 00:01:16
both of them listed at virtual33.educamadrid.org and the ending is 00:01:24
distinct for each campus so if you want to pause the video you can copy them. Now 00:01:33
the benefit of having these links is so you can go directly to the sites and 00:01:38
then they will take you directly to the classroom you want to go to. So I will 00:01:43
show you now the page for Loeches, for our school. It will work the same way for the other school 00:01:52
site as well. And the first thing that I want to show is the three types of user access. 00:02:00
Invited, enrolled, and self-enrolled. So invited access for anyone not in the class does not 00:02:09
require a username or password if for example I wish to enter technology in 00:02:19
English you can find every class listed under categories and I will click on 00:02:26
this to see the demonstration course that I created for this tutorial now 00:02:34
when you enter you have to log in with a username and password but if the 00:02:39
professor uses an unrestricted option, the professor will have the option to 00:02:46
restrict access, then you can enter without this. In this case we can click 00:02:50
enter as invited and in this course everything is open so we can enter and 00:02:57
see the subject categories, the assignments, quizzes, everything that is 00:03:05
listed without logging in. But the access is still limited. If I want to submit my 00:03:11
work to the professor directly through the site and not email, 00:03:18
it's not possible without logging in. It just won't allow me. Now logically 00:03:22
this makes sense because you need to know which student is 00:03:28
submitting their work. So with this access we can see the 00:03:32
course but not do much more. Now similarly 00:03:37
you cannot take or view exams either because it has to be 00:03:43
linked to a user so it will say you cannot view or 00:03:47
respond to quizzes because it has to have a digital 00:03:52
signature from the student so the invited access is easy people 00:03:57
can see what you have listed in your course 00:04:05
but not interact with the content now the next type of access is for 00:04:08
enrolled students with logins so if we go back to the main page 00:04:18
Up on the top right it says access. You can click on it. Let me zoom in. Click access and then you 00:04:27
can enter the username and password. The tutor will provide you with your username and password 00:04:40
and once I write them in click access and now I'm back inside where we were. Now I will go back to 00:04:45
technology in english and enter the demonstration course i'm going to change the view to student 00:04:59
because there are things that they can't see now from here it looks the same as before like 00:05:06
nothing has changed what happens now for example is if i go to the homework for this demonstration 00:05:13
course now you will see the ability to turn something in and you can see if i have or if 00:05:19
I haven't, the mark that I've received, when I turned it in, how much time is left, if the 00:05:26
professor has given a deadline or time limit, etc. So now I can press the button to submit my work 00:05:32
and it will bring up a menu with options. I can write my information in the box like my name, 00:05:41
I can add text, a link, or I can upload a file, whatever is required. 00:05:48
but now I have the options in this view that I didn't have before and it's the same with exams 00:05:52
and quizzes. Now I have access to complete them. This one doesn't have anything to do because I 00:06:00
submitted a blank form but the idea is that I have the ability. Now a very important part of 00:06:06
the assignments and quizzes in the tab is for marks or grades. Here on the left it shows all 00:06:12
the marks. The professor can show all the information here about your progress. This way, 00:06:18
I can see what I have done, what I have done well, what I've done wrong, and it's very important to 00:06:24
stay on top of this grading and recording the marks. So as you see, the enrolled user view is 00:06:30
very important. The professor could do it for you and give you the username and password to enter, 00:06:37
But because of the large number of students, it's more likely that the professor will ask that you 00:06:43
be auto-enrolled. And this is what we are going to look at now, how to be automatically enrolled. 00:06:48
So let me log out of this view, and we are going to auto-enroll ourselves in this course. 00:06:57
So one more time, open Technology and English, and find the demonstration course. 00:07:03
one option that appears is the auto-enrollment so great I can do that just click the blue button at 00:07:09
the bottom and that will do it for me super simple now it's possible the professor will 00:07:19
ask you for a password for the auto-enrollment if they ask for you to enroll automatically then 00:07:25
it means that they will provide you with one so once you are all enrolled we can do exactly the 00:07:31
same as the professor did with the other methods of enrollment. For example, if I open the 00:07:38
assignments, I can see the same things as before. And if I open the exams, again, the same. I can 00:07:44
enter but not see anything because there isn't one posted now. This is just a demonstration. 00:07:52
so these are the same as well as access as accessing the grade book just as before 00:08:00
so how do we enroll well it's however the professor decides so there's three ways and 00:08:08
that's that's it the functions of the virtual classroom are pretty simple to navigate 00:08:19
and you'll access it with whatever method the professor tells you to 00:08:24
