00:00:41
south east part of the Iberian Peninsula. Iberians lived in tribes and they were
00:00:48
a chief. They were excellent farmers and they used the money for trading. They loved to live
00:00:56
at the top of the mountains in rectangular houses and they had their own writing system. Celts

00:01:13
They built secular houses and living forts to protect them.
00:01:19
They built big sculptures like the Toros de Guisando to protect their animals, they thought.
00:01:23
And the Phoenicians established different colonies.
00:01:31
They came from North Asia and established different colonies in the Bavarian peninsula
00:01:34
like Malaga, Gadir and Saxe.
00:01:39
Today Malaga, Alminekar and Cadiz.
00:01:42
And they invented the first alphabet.
00:01:45
After them, the Carthaginians established also two big colonies in the Iberian Peninsula that were Carthago Nova and Ebussus.
00:01:47
They were excellent warriors and they fought against the Romans in the Punic Wars.
00:01:56
Greeks invented different things. They came from Greece and they believed in many gods like Zeus, Ares, Artemis.
00:02:02
They created politics and democracy and of course the Olympic Games. Romans took
00:02:14
200 years to conquer the Iberian Peninsula. They introduced Latin which was
00:02:21
the beginning and the source of many languages in Europe like Spanish.
00:02:29
They built big buildings as amphitheatres and temples. This big
00:02:33
exchange of cultures was very rich for the Iberian Peninsula and there were many important
00:02:41
