Hi everyone, so in this video we are going to continue to practice our Unit 2 lessons about 00:00:06
vertebrates, but this time we're going to practice the three vital functions. 00:00:15
Again, to have a quick review, vertebrates are animals with a back bone and skeleton 00:00:25
inside of them mirror vertebrae are animals with a backbone and skeleton inside of them 00:00:35
So, most vertebrates have a head, limbs, and tail. 00:00:51
Other vertebrates also have wings and beak. 00:01:11

Most vertebrates have a head, lids, and tail. 00:01:19
Other vertebrates also have wings and beak. 00:01:31
Now we go to vital functions. 00:01:43

interaction mere word vertebrates perform three vital functions nutrition 00:02:07
Reproduction, interactions. 00:02:23
Okay, let's start with nutrition. 00:02:28
Carnivores eat other animals. 00:02:42
Their teeth are long and sharp. 00:02:46
Herbivores eat plants. 00:02:57
Their teeth are short and flat. Omnivores eat both animals and plants. 00:03:00
Mirror word. Nutrition. Carnivores eat other animals. 00:03:19
Their teeth are long and sharp. 00:03:31
Herbivores eat plants. 00:03:43
Their teeth are short and flat. 00:03:49
Omnivores eat both animals and plants. 00:03:55
These are examples of carnivores, herbivores, and omnivores. 00:04:09
Now, let's go to reproduction. 00:04:22
Reproduction. 00:04:28
Viviparous animals give birth to live babies Humans are viviparous too 00:04:29
A viper's animals lay eggs. 00:04:44
Some, like frogs, lay many eggs. 00:04:54
Others, like birds, lay a few eggs. 00:05:02
Mirror word. 00:05:10
Reproduction. 00:05:13
Viviparous animals give birth to live babies. 00:05:14

Viviparous animals lay eggs. 00:05:33
Some, like frogs, lay many eggs. 00:05:41
Others, like birds, lay a few eggs. 00:05:50
Still in reproduction, in ovoviviparous animals, 00:06:07
The eggs grow and hatch inside their mother's body, 00:06:14
like guppy, platypus, and manta ray. 00:06:23
Mirror word. 00:06:26
Reproduction. 00:06:30
In ovoveve, one more time, 00:06:32
in ovoveve parus animals, 00:06:36
The eggs grow and hatch inside their mother's body. 00:06:39
Interaction. 00:06:56
Animals live alone in groups or large communities. 00:07:04
Rhinoceros or polar bears live alone. 00:07:12
Zebras or sheep live in groups or herds for protection. 00:07:28
Prairie dogs or ants live in large communities. 00:07:35
Mirror word. 00:07:45
Animals live alone, in groups, or in large communities. 00:07:48
Rhinoceros or polar bears live alone 00:07:58
Zebras or sheep live in groups or herd for protection 00:08:09
Prairie dogs or ants live in large communities 00:08:20
Interaction 2. Animals use different parts to move around. 00:08:30
Turtles use their legs to swim. Tortoises cannot swim. 00:08:49
Eagles use their wings and feathers to fly. 00:09:03
Hens cannot fly. 00:09:12
Horses use their legs to walk and run. 00:09:17
Monkeys use their arms to climb. 00:09:26

Horses use their legs to walk and run. 00:10:22
monkeys 00:10:32
use their arms 00:10:35
to climb. 00:10:38
And that's it for 00:10:48
the three vital functions. 00:10:50
And I hope that you're going to practice. 00:10:52
Yeah? See ya! 00:10:54
