Hi, my name is Annie Kamikwo, and I'm the Director of Research Practice Partnerships for Understanding Language, which is a group in the Graduate School of Education at Stanford University. 00:00:00
This summer I'm going to be facilitating a workshop that focuses on project-based learning, and specifically project-based language learning. 00:00:27
So, during this one week workshop, we will be looking at what does PBL mean in the language 00:00:35
classroom? 00:00:43
How do I help my students develop both content and language knowledge simultaneously? 00:00:44
We will also be creating a framework that you'll be able to use for both design and 00:00:51
implementation of a PBL unit in your classroom. 00:00:56
Some of the essential questions that we'll be covering will be, how do I make PBL more 00:01:00
relevant in real world? 00:01:07
How do I incorporate technology? 00:01:09
And how do I highlight student voice as part of the unit too? 00:01:11
I welcome both primary and secondary teachers as part of this workshop. 00:01:16
And if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me. 00:01:21
my email is K-U-O-A-N-N-I-E at stanford.edu. I look forward to working with you. 00:01:25
